Why did I get bullied for being an autist then. I can remember being in primary school (ages 5-11) and we would all tease one lad for being a "gay boy". This was in the 90s and almost mandatory behaviour.We never actually thought for one second be was gay however. He just didn't get involved in sports and liked to dig in the sandpit. It's a correlation. Bullies in my day used to bully everyone perceived as a victim including a disabled kid with learning difficulties and few short kings who had nothing to do with being gay.
