Boomer landlord tells me to cover his bills as “rent.”I paid early like I did at my previous place like every month. After spending 19 minutes on the phone, I found out he’d already paid the bill in full without telling me.So now I’ve paid it as well and I’m $1,000 AUD out of pocket, stuck waiting on a refund from the solar company. This is after he told me earlier this month that I’d be covering it monthly as part of the rent.Now i'm told it's my problem, I didn't notify him.Why can't they make things easy?
