>I read X books a week!

No you don't. Proper reading is very demanding and it's very easy to zone out while following the lines with your eyes.

the issue for people that want to get into reading after never having read for a long time is they start with the classics or whatever. the best of the best books that are all renowned but those are usually difficult to get into because theyre so dense.
if you want to develop a habit of reading start with the easy to digest slop that you can finish in a day if you want to.
