Are there really people who think Republicans are going to keep the White House in 2028?
There has only been once instance of the party of a sitting president having a second candidate win an election once the sitting president's term ends in the last 70 years, when George HW Bush won after two terms of Reagan in 1988.
And even then, HW lost his reelection.
Keep in mind, Reagan left office with almost 70 percent approval. Trump is currently in the upper 30s.
