Is the 5D chess that closing the straight of Hormuz was a primary objective from the very beginning? International oil prices go up, US gets to sell its oil as an oil exporting nation, Venezuela is onside, and adversaries like China can be disrupted a bit.

>WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration is arguing that the war in Iran has already ended because of the ceasefire that began in early April, an interpretation that would allow the White House to avoid the need to seek congressional approval.

>The statement furthers an argument laid out by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth during testimony in the Senate earlier Thursday, when he said the ceasefire effectively paused the war. Under that rationale, the administration has not yet met the requirement mandated by a 1973 law to seek formal approval from Congress for military action that extends beyond 60 days.

>A senior administration official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the administration’s position, said for purposes of that law, “the hostilities that began on Saturday, Feb. 28 have terminated.” The official said the U.S. military and Iran have not exchanged fire since the two-week ceasefire that began April 7.

I'd really pay for American ZOGbots to be defeated conventionally on Iranian soil and then be marched through as prisoners in an inverse triump in Tehran. ZOG needs a super slap in the face, there needs to be televised footage of mutts being paraded like toys while tight-jeaned hijabis spit on them. It's a fantasy, but it should be wished for.

>Iran's oil infrastructure
America will attack this next, because America already ran out of legitimate military targets a few weeks into the initial "war". America was shooting missiles blindly into caves in hopes they were hitting hidden Iranian launchers.
America has nothing else to blow up except industrial and civilian infrastructure, just like how they hit bridges right before the ceasefire, they had no other targets.
Iran will respond in kind, so far the Iranians have done exactly what they pre-emptively said they would do.

You're right, there's no climate like norcal, for those that don't know in NorCal it stays at high 70-80 during the entire year and it dips to 40-50 at the lowest with the range being something like 65-75 on daily average throughout the year. Not humid, very dry, hardly rains but mornings are foggy, no snow, or none that sticks plus there's always a nice breeze, i doubt that theres a comparable place anywhere else on earth.

He's at the zenith of power as a peak boomer, a boomer who knows he's going to die soon and leave no legacy behind. Look, I'll give you the point that (at the time) I was vague and I was trying to teach anons a lesson on not being vindictive bitches and supporting their own suffering. But at the very least, I still have an old reply to back this up

https://archive.4plebs.org/pol/thread/495778445/#495780717

Retards called me a newfag and said trump was going to be the best thing to happen in their lives. I implied to them that he was going out and doing things out of hatred. Perhaps reading through the lines isn't a trait present among autists. What I tried to preach in that post, that's what's happening to trumpboi and miggers right now, and we see it every day with each fuck up. So yeah, I didn't predict it "directly", but I didn't give a good forecast to this modus operandi miggers and trump have. It's self destructive

A lot of people did on some level. Maybe not on a "trump is going to cause a massive war in February 28th, 2026 and plunge us all into a depression tier meltdown by April 30th 2026" level of accuracy, but plenty of people said he wasn't going to be ANY good or at least implied so based on his own psychology. I already gave you proofs of me more or less predicting this over a year ago. I also remember watching a queer retard on a TikTok short that pretty much predicted very accurately the first half of trump II. He was posted here and miggers mocked the faggot immediately and dismissed him. A shame I can't find jack in the archives but he predicted gas prices exploding, egg prices exploding, new forever wars for the US, massive strategic blunders in the middle east, worship of Israel to never seen levels, palantir technocracy enforcing the great reset.. the list goes on. The fact even a normalcattle homo had this much hindsight over miggers back then tells you a lot

I also agree with this theory based on the curious fact that the recent meeting between Abbas Araghchi and Putin in Moscow was also attended by the top ranking military intelligence official (forgot his name). This kind of person won't be called if the discussion is just about "economic support".
As for Trump's call with Putin (that Russia initiated, interestingly enough), what I think is important to note is not that Russia passed on any consequences threatened by Iran (Iran could do that itself), but that Russia signaled it was 100% on board with whatever retaliation that Iran has in store.

I thought the blockade wasn't effective...?

>For almost five decades, Iran’s Islamic government has survived financial pressure from the U.S. by selling oil to China. It confronted American military might with guerrilla tactics. But with the U.S. Navy’s blockade, that strategy might have met its match, analysts said.

>Tehran thought it was gaining the upper hand after the war started in February as it attacked ships navigating the Strait of Hormuz, shutting down commercial traffic and blocking a fifth of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas supplies. Six weeks into the conflict, the U.S. responded by blockading shipments from all Iranian ports.

>That shut down Iran’s network of shadow ships, which for years defied U.S. sanctions on Iran’s substantial oil exports by going dark at sea before clandestinely transferring their cargoes to China. The tankers have been unable to breach a cordon of U.S. warships that have chased them all the way to the Indian Ocean.

>In Hormuz, “Iran was able to create a crisis of market confidence. But disruption is not control,” said David Des Roches, a former director responsible for Persian Gulf policy at the Defense Department. “With the U.S. blockade, it’s facing a reckoning.”

>Alternative trade routes won’t be sufficient. Iran has been working to send some of its oil by rail to China and to import foodstuff by road from the Caucasus and Pakistan. Only 40% of Iran’s trade can be redirected away from blockaded ports, the Iranian Shipping Association said Thursday via the Fars news agency, which is affiliated with Iran’s security services.
>>
>>534219367

>The risk of a spiraling crisis has split Iran’s political system between moderates such as President Masoud Pezeshkian and hard-liners including Saeed Jalili, a former presidential candidate who leads Iran’s most conservative faction.

>The moderates believe in holding fire and negotiating a favorable deal with President Trump, whom they view as eager to get out of the messy war as soon as possible. They worry Iranians are growing tired of the conflict after an initial nationalist uptick.

>“The regime has to do something to break this deadlock,” Saeid Golkar, who studies Iran at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. “Moderates want a deal because they think more destruction is political suicide,” he said.

>A growing camp of hard-liners believe Iran has to take the military initiative and start a shooting war again to send oil prices soaring higher and increase the pressure on Trump. They argue that the blockade goes beyond the sanctions Iran has faced down in the past and amounts to an act of war that must have a military response.

>On Thursday, Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei issued a new threat to the U.S. “Foreigners who commit evil belong in the depths of water,” he said in a written statement read by a presenter on state television. Khamenei hasn’t been seen in public since he succeeded his father, Ali Khamenei, who was killed on Feb. 28 in an Israeli strike.

>“The blockade is increasingly viewed in Tehran not as a substitute for war, but as a different manifestation of it,” said Hamidreza Azizi, a visiting fellow specializing in the Middle East at SWP, a Berlin-based research institute. “As a result, Iranian decision makers may soon come to see renewed conflict as less costly than continuing to endure a prolonged blockade.”
>>
>>534219367
US strategy is to close their eyes and pretend things are going their way. Zero mention about the number of tankers that pass through the “blockade”.

>Iranian officials said Tehran could use previously unused weapons to attack U.S. warships, from submarines to mine-carrying dolphins. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has threatened to step up escalation by cutting phone cables in the Strait of Hormuz, which would disrupt internet traffic globally.

>The Revolutionary Guard-linked Tasnim news agency recently published a map of undersea internet cables crossing the Strait of Hormuz in a veiled warning that the region’s telecommunications infrastructure could be targeted.

>This past weekend, Tehran presented regional mediators with an offer to stop its attacks in the strait in exchange for a full end to the war, a lifting of the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports and postponement of nuclear talks.

>Trump on Monday told aides to prepare for an extended blockade that could remain in place until Iran accedes to his nuclear demands. “The blockade is genius, OK, the blockade has been 100% foolproof,” he told reporters later this week.

>Some 44 commercial vessels working for Iran have been ordered to turn around or return to port, U.S. Central Command, which oversees American military operations in the Middle East, said Thursday. There is no evidence any Iranian oil cargo has crossed the U.S. blockade and reached Chinese customers or other buyers, according to Kpler, a commodities-data company.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi recently said Tehran would find ways to “neutralize restrictions” on the shipping. Up to 90% of Iran’s conventional navy was thought to be destroyed by American bombings, making it unable to confront U.S. warships.

>Iran is betting America will crack first and end its blockade of Iranian ports to calm global markets and bring down American gasoline prices. U.S. officials are betting that Iran will instead relent because of the deepening economic crisis.
>>
>>534219613

>The war has imposed a heavy cost on Iran’s economy, with more than a million people out of work, soaring food prices and a prolonged internet shutdown that has slammed online businesses. Its crisis-hit economy is now facing the risk of collapse.

>The value of Iran’s currency has more than halved since a year ago, and the U.S. dollar’s exchange rate recently surged to 1.81 million rials as the blockade showed no sign of ending.

Really didn't seem to make sense.

Some say it's because Trump was briefed on military options to re-start the fighting, but in that case why did the price come back down?

Also read that it was because Trump was briefing others especially the US oil industry that the blockade would go on for months (so they should invest in production), but again why would it come down?

The oil futures price seems just bizarrely low in any case given the shortage gets worse and worse by the day. Right now it's only massive demand destruction in Asia that's "helping" things.

That’s proof they know He’s real
He uplifts those who accept Him, and abandons those who deny Him and it works everyone up because everyone knows they’re a creation

>muh capitalism
how many times do i have to tell you faggots we live in FEUDALISTIC TIMES. CAPITALISM IS NOT REAL. in fucking fact, capitalism was never real in western civilization. carthage was the civilization that championed unchaining the merchant class to the point where the merchant class supplanted the ruling the class and guess what happened. ROME FUCKING KILLED AND ENSLAVED THEM. this is why prophet mohammad, the actual fucking merchant, dropped being a merchant to be a warlord because the only real reality is violence in the case of a logical ruling class that will simply imprison merchants who threaten civilization rather than accept the death of civilization

Sure, you're using bash, right? Going to assume you're using bash. I'd start by customizing your .bashrc and .bash_profile. Learn what both do and just be creative with it.
You probably want to start with customizing your prompt variables.
PS1="\u@\h:\w\$ "
This leads to this:
user@host:/home/user$
You can look up how to add colors or other practical stuff like a timestamp. Just something fun to do. I advise you to learn basic commands like:
cp $HOME/.bashrc $HOME/_backup_.bashrc && nano $HOME/.bashrc
This basically creates a copy, names the copy _backup_.bashrc and then uses "nano" (editor, assuming you have it) to make changes.
---
If you want I can make a separate tech thread. Just be specific about what you want help with. Else I'll just pick something like above. Tmux is pretty sweet to use. Are you using it currently?

as for this war, look like i said what seems decades ago, when this started off, Iran is a lolcow state, if nothing had changed no war etc, they'd still be looking down the barrel of a Water shortage crisis, because they decided in their endless wisdom, to pump the aquifers dry to larp as a agriculutral super power in the desert. does this make sense no but if i bring it up people sperg.

And yes Round three was inevitable if you just kept looking at what was being airlifted into the middle-east by the USA.

Very nice. Absolutely perfect. Let's see how we can best do this... I'm looking for the perfect angle to get someone from a basic understanding to seeing a lot of options. I can't unlearn what I know, so you're the perfect subject. I need a bit of time to prepare it though. The idea is the following:
>create a simple TUI
>hook it up with json data
>use jq to parse said json data
>you can CRUD the data
>it can be used to fill it with new information, which you can be quizzed on within the terminal
I already have a good start but let's be fair to the rest of the thread and take it to /g/.
>>534223996
Very nice, I've created a different thread. Pretty sure we can get a nice one-liner but why not just use yq / jq? Answer me in the /g/ thread.

Using it together with custom bars and having different users for different goals (working, shitposting, guests, ...) removes a lot of clutter imho and creates focus on different use-cases. I argue it makes perfect sense. You need food to remain a sovereign entity. If you rely on food imports and the exporter decides to not do business with you anymore you're fucked.
Even more so if you're at threat of any other potential trading partners also refusing to do business. It's like step one to being a real nation.
I'm not so sure about the desal plants, my cope for that would be lack of realestate along the persian gulf, dislike for ruining the coastline (I don't know their environmental protection policies), or potential costs.
>>

it might, there is a risk yes but aslong as there is rain and you just make sure to not overpump it you'll be fine for awhile, but i wouldn't worry too much about that if there might be a water shortage instead it's either or. hence why i said for awhile.

it is a huge boon don't get me wrong, its better to have abit more then you need but they overproduced, hence the water shortage it's a fine balancing act, hell you could even just store the water you desalinate just in case you're well dealing what you're currently dealing with. it's kinda like what is the UN/Greenpeace going to do write a strongly worded letter?

Yes, and, at least in France's case, this stems from decades of aggressive American infiltration into the education of the elite, who are systematically offered training programs in the U.S., with the aim of undermining the principles of sovereignty established after 1945. Principles that explain why there are no U.S. military bases in France, why military equipment is largely domestically produced, and so on. This infiltration has begun to pay off especially since the Sarkozy presidency starting in 2007 and the associated Libyan disaster.
