Back in the 60's the PLA would be able to move in places Indian Army believed to be impossible to traverse, but that was PLA of rural peasants who were used to live off a handful of rice a day and trained to rely on their rifle only because artillery support wouldn't happen very often. This Chinese military for better or worse doesn't exist anymore, now it's a military more obsessed with firepower than the US is, that also recruits soldiers who are used to much more comfortable life. Low level initiative etc. are still strong there but this kind of "if you find yourself stranded you now become one man guerilla offensive" mindset of the old PLA is mostly gone.

If it's a modern war of attrition with drones, then my question would be does India even produce a single original drone? With China it feels like it produces half of all the drones in the world if not more. Then India has the problem of having no oil and gasoline reserves whatoever, even with the straight of Hormuz closing they possibly face a disaster. How would they fare if China bombs a couple refineries and storages on top of that?
