I lowkey cut off my family because it is matriarchal. My parents divorced when I was young, so my family has always been female dominated. It became too much for me when I had to do all the chores and my younger sisters didn’t, and I had to pay monthly rent when I turned 18 ($300 per month) when they didn’t. Is this a normal experience?

My parents had a rule that there would never be pressure to leave the house, but if you were still there after three years, you'd have to pay rent. I'm a loser with no social life, friends hobbies or even a sliver of a chance at such lofty fantasy as romance, but I'm able to force myself into work every day and as such, can earn enough money to pay 500 quid a month, which is like one third what people pay here, so I'm lucky
