The 2/3 part was absolutely empty. So he figures "I'll just walk on this big empty part wtf" but the lady told him to get behind the line. He said "why" and she said the line was there because there are people in the crowd lurking if somebody gets too close to the rails and then they push them in front of the train, but when you are behind the line there's just to much of a "buffer zone" for somebody to throw you under the train.
