But we also own our bodies. The woman is under no obligation to give up her body so another body can live. This is easy to understand, because there is no version of two adults where one adult has any kind of right to the other adult's body in order to stay alive. If I need some part of your body to stay alive, then there is no argument I can make that would give me a claim on it. Even if I am your child, I cannot demand that you give up your body so I can live. Even if you saved my life so I owe my current existence to you, does it give me a right to your body in order to stay alive. Therefore, the claim a foetus has on the mother's body is null and avoid, regardless if the woman caused that foetus to exist or not. But your question is this:>Is abortion bad?Yes. But it's not a level of bad that should remove the woman's right to have one. If someone dies because I won't give up one of my kidney's, then that is also bad. Loss of life is never on the positive side. But it being bad does not mean it should be banned.
