What does Russia even want from Ukraine? The war has been going on forever. Territory? Oil? Natural gas? Precious minerals and ores? Someone please explain why they are so desperate to continue fighting.

However Ukraine decided to escalate as a US/EU proxy and forced Russia into a prolonged conflict. Now because Ukraine decided to destroy itself on behalf of US/EU request, Russia can't just backdown otherwise it's ceding it's neighboring country to hostile foreign powers. Both sides have lost for nothing while US and EU Jews rub their hands togather in glee over "white" men dying. Very similar to how the Iran/US war is a net negative for both while being a huge win for Israel.
