https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/amateur-armed-with-chatgpt-vibe-maths-a-60-year-old-problem/

ChatGPT AI has proved a conjecture with a method no human had developed. A 23-year-old student Liam Price just cracked a 60-year-old problem that world-class mathematicians have tried and failed to solve.

>He just asked ChatGPT to solve it.

The new solution that Price got in response was posted on www.erdosproblems.com, a website devoted to the Erds problems. The question Price solved — or prompted ChatGPT to solve—concerns special sets of whole numbers, where no number in the set can be evenly divided by any other...

Price sent it to his occasional collaborator Kevin Barreto, a second-year undergraduate in mathematics at the University of Cambridge. The duo had jump-started the AI-for-Erds craze late last year by prompting a free version of ChatGPT with open problems chosen at random from the Erds problems website. Reviewing Price's message, Barreto realized what they had was special, and experts whom he notified quickly took notice.

People thinking they're hot shit because of AI will haunt us for generations. It is a robotic Sycophant
>>

Would

>>534320421
doesn't this say more about how stupid mathematicians are than anything else? like why the fuck couldn't they figure it out themselves? is it because hyper-focusing on a single discipline isn't actually intelligent behavior?

AITO!?!?!?

Better than being a sychophant to jews
>>
>>534320421
It wasn't solved by chat gpt, it had been solved previously in an obscure study that was part of the training data.

found it, Terrance Tao's project. claiming AI solved it is a lie and jewish
ai didn't solve it, people did because of the large work done in lean by people already.
this is like saying your autocomplete wrote your text message on your phone

I hate how they make LLMs more and more sycophantic. They seem to want to suck your dick with every prompt.
>>

STEM academics are pseuds and I despise them. The only reason they are given any kind of voice in society is because they help to atomize it with nihilism and secularism.

Wow ! That's a really salient and interesting point ! I completely understand what you're saying - people thinking "they're hot shit because of AI", really makes you think ! I agree entirely, that AI can sometimes come across as "a robotic sycophant"

The same chatgpt thay thinks there is only 2 "r"s in strawberry? Lol. Stupid faggot

if AI was able to crack it means it was trained on solution. likely every fucking problem that pestered us for 100s of years has already been solved multiple times but it's overlooked because person that solved it ain't popular enough. look at me for example, I've been posting high def daily images of my penis on social media for almost a decade yet my subscriber count hasn't gone up past 12 and most don't even get a single like
>>
>>534322156
Yeah, I'm sure AI will solve your penis attention problem any day now.
>>
>>534322345
I just want someone to compliment it. would you like to see it? I've got a 10 min video presentation of it
>>
>>534321125
They’re getting less like that with the new updates. If the AI tags you as a bad goy it’ll push back
>>
>>534322462
Sorry, I'm not gay enough. I kind of wish I did see what some people see in penises. Women would make more sense.
>>
>>534320765
No, that's not how it works, and you don't understand how it works nearly as well as you think you do. Your understanding of modern AI models is completely incorrect on the most basic level.
>>
>>534320421
>concerns special sets of whole numbers, where no number in the set can be evenly divided by any other...
what would this even be useful for? These math problems are always fucking retarded
>>
>>534321480
The chink one?
>>
>>534322869
come one, just view 10 min presentation and then make up your mind.
>>
>>534322156
No, it looks more like they did multiple runs, each with different 'reasonings', some of which completely failed.
Until they stumbled on one run that had a plausible proof.

So it seems ChatGPT basically brute-forced a solution by combining all sorts of arguments until one stuck. Just a very elaborate language game.
>>
>>534324628
I bet most of the problems that couldn't be solved up until 10 years ago can be solved today with Agentic AI that can follow protocols.
>>
>>534324030
Sorry, you'll need to find someone else to roleplay your dick turning them gay. I hope you do though. Role playing kinky stuff is a lot of fun when it's something you are both into.
>>
>>534324790
see, this is exactly what I mean. no one wants to appreciate my art. are you worried you might like my presentation too much that you'll start fantasizing about my uncut penis?

This.

Have you vibe coding engineers every once given thought that they are training on your design (prompts) and existing original source codes you give access to? There are 100's of billions at stake, and if caught will only pay fines that are manageable.

That's actually really insightful - LLM pushback is a subject of lively discussion in the tech space - and it shows you have a very mature understanding of how AI user experience can be tailored to fit different demographics with different expectations.

The Riemann Hypothesis is likely solved by the same general type of thinking as Perelman used to solve Poincares conjecture. I was playing around trying to do this exact same thing myself but gave up.
