An 18-year-old zoomer named Braelin Weaver is in prison after he murdered two people during a bank robbery in small-town Kentucky. Despite wearing a disguise and not carrying a cellphone, he was quickly tracked down:

https://www.justice.gov/usao-edky/pr/subject-arrested-and-federally-charged-deadly-berea-bank-robbery

Why'd he do it, /pol/? Kentucky is looking at death penalty charges, and even if that fails, he is also being charged by the feds, since robbing FDIC-insured institutions like banks is a federal crime. He may also face a federal death penalty under the 1996 AEDPA law.

Are zoomers simply getting dumber? Who the fuck would think that THIS was a good plan? He didn't even get access to the bank's vault, since he murdered all of the employees.

Well, this is the official story:

>After that, the suspect reportedly drove off in a silver BMW, which was later linked to Weaver through his social media posts.

>Officials then received information about Weaver's location, which placed him in Somerset. They tracked him down near I-75, and that's where a high-speed chase ensued.

That may or may not be the truth. But this would imply the bank had video of his car and plates, and this information was run through databases to come up with any potential matches.
>>
>>534331552

People leave tons and tons of footprints everywhere.

This reminds me of this case where the autistic jew killed a bunch of students, and /pol/ was convinced he was some sort of mastermind that had pulled the crime of the century, when really he did leave DNA all over the place, drove his car around and was spotted by cameras and so on.

The point I was trying in my mangled fashion to make is that there is a class of young men in this nation who commit these needless crimes because they're about that life, because they wanna be thugs, because they think thugs run the street. And it isn't hard to see this guy's photo and be able to identify his personality and social status based on the way he stands and dresses. Like I could go to any urban area and if I had the power, I could just nab like 10,000 young dudes off the streets solely based off how they dress, walk, and look, and instantly reduce crime rates by a million. It's so obvious. They're flaunting their thug status. Like you could just shoot every single man in America that has the look of the dude in the OP image and the country would instantly become peaceful and safe.

Social media has primed an environment where this type of degeneracy is not only accepted, it thrives. Social media desensitizes and radicalizes even moderates into believing heinous and abhorrent behavior is acceptable under the correct context. Spend just 5 minutes on Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, you will find hordes of these deranged people. They exist among us. The FBI knows about them but never acts until it is far too late. Western society is on a one-way fast track to collapse as long as social media continues to destroy minds and decay the culture.

>Well, I robbed drug dealers in the hood in Louisville and got away with it. How hard could it possibly be to hit a small-town bank?

Without realizing that the US government does not give a shit about gangbangers robbing each other in the hood, but it cares A LOT about the banking and financial systems. A whole fucking lot. Enough to track you down in hours and put you on a course straight to death row.

This is the kind of thing I assume everyone knows, but apparently some zoomers are so dumb that they don't get the score.

>>
He didnt even negotiate with the employees. He straight up went in, went over the teller desk and shot the lady and shot the guy who was on the other side. THEN he checked the drawers for money. He went completely alone and parked his car away from the bank outside cameras, but still got caught cause his car was near a funeral home. Thats where the cops saw his car/plate. This guy is a bonafide nigger and will pray for death penalty instead of being tossed around in jail by Avocado and Tyrone. Although he is pretty zesty.

Cops will tell you that if you want to get away with a crime like that, there are about 100 things that you need to do correctly. If you get even one wrong, you are toast - assuming that the cops choose to devote the resources to catching you.

With modern surveillance and forensics, many clues which, standing alone, do not provide anything of evidentiary value, when combined yield hard evidence, and that's becoming increasingly easier to do. In many cases, all they need is enough to get a name - any name, really. Because even if the name they get isn't their suspect, if their investigation led them to that that person, then they probably know something. Another brick in the wall.
>>
>>534332064
it's really not hard

just have AI search for a similar car, like the color, sedan/coupe/suv, tinted windows, etc. within the state or 500 mile radius

that narrows it down a lot, and rule out people who don't match the description of the guy, like if they're short/tall, man/woman, old/young, blonde/brunette, etc.

that further narrows it down to just a handful of people, and start approaching them for questioning

if they lead you on a high speed chase, then that further removes any doubt...

gait signature probably. you can get height, gait, weight from video footage. give that to palantir to cross reference with mined social media data and boom you get 1-2 matches in a small town. they might also track his vehicle, which way he went etc. they can also track vehicles from past satellite data like an instant replay.

Instantly blocked by the magic words
"Fuck You, bring me a lawyer."
>>
>>534336030
Then explain 90+% conviction rates? It's not the fault of the technique but how it's applied. "Sure, you can have a lawyer but first sit in this interrogation room for 8 hours." *comes back and applies it again* "Oh, yes, a lawyer. Hang out here for awhile, would you like a drink or snacks so we can collect more biological evidence?" *2 hours later apply it again.* The way cops interrogate people regularly goes over the line and admissions of guilt are easier to get than actually proving a crime.

From a copfag:

>facial recognition against ID photos, if his face was recorded
>Flock/Motorola LPRs if cameras traced him back to his vehicle, and his plate wasn't covered or removed
>if no plate, they'll check every vehicle registered in the area matching that description, rentals actually make it easier because they'll check which vehicles were rented matching the description
>phone pings can be used too

You'd need a non-locally rented vehicle (plate removed and dissappear off the Flock grid by driving between cities) or to disappear on foot, not traced by cameras then get into a vehicle. Flock cams make it incredibly easy to catch criminals because even the same car coming and going within the timeframe of the crime can be an investigative lead. They're not using gait or whatever schizos are saying, then again I'm not sure what the feds have but that claim sounds ridiculous. You're already tracked with realistic and knowingly implemented technology, we wouldn't need to trace your walking gait and people move differently when under stress. The best way to get away with a bank robbery is to keep it a property crime. If you murder someone they're going to use every resource in the federal level arsenal to find you as soon as possible. Steal some money and your case gets backlogged and no one really cares.
>>
>>534331474
Why are white people like this?
>>
>>534336299
>>534337687
A lot of murders are trivial to solve once you work out all of the details because they are either poorly planned or executed by people aren't smart enough to come up with better ways to get what they want. The whole point of the Reid Technique is to create an environment that keeps the suspect engaged and talking to the interrogator. The best way to beat it is to say nothing, ask for a lawyer, and wait for him to obtain all evidence that the police have against you before so much as entertaining the idea that you might be guilty. Saying anything at all can only make it worse.

As always:
shoot, shovel, shut up
>>
>>534331552
>canvas everybody involved and nearby of what they seen
>look at all surveillance cameras in area, most people/stores give it without warrant just because they want to help
>high chance one of them seen car, possibly plates
>if he's seen paying for anything then they can get him from card name
>even without plates cops put out APB on car, person of interest
This catches 90% of people in the first 24 hours.
Pro crims steal a car, swap plates from another car, getaway drive to a location they know there's no cameras, swap cars and burn the stolen getaway car.

The whole point of what I said is that they use forensics and surveillance to find someone to drag into the interrogation room. But I guess you can't respond to anything without first venting your relentless undirected rage at everything because that's always your point regardless of the topic.

What you are saying is that everything you know about forensic investigation comes from Hollywood slop yet at some level you recognize your ignorance and that forces some internal skepticism, so you spend eight seconds on a search page to find something to say that sounds like you actually know something.

So your IQ must be both 77 and 102. Weird.

I've seen one homicide go unsolved and it was a hobo (presumably) who murdered another hobo. Neither were very traceable and the homeless community doesn't talk to police. The only leads we had were a camera at a nearby liquor store, but the murder happened outside of the area where any cameras could capture it. The assumption is he killed him and skipped town. We even found the weapon but if the suspect had no DNA on file it's not worth shit. Fingerprints are only visible on glass or polished metal and if your fingers were oily. Prints are the biggest meme of all, we're almost never able to pull prints off a surface unless it's glass or smooth car paint.

But you'd basically have to be on foot and fully covered or in a town with no Flock cams, and they're pretty much everywhere now. They're gonna be used to track pedestrians too soon I'd presume. Crime will basically be impossible in public.
