Anyway, he's been warning about this looming shortage since late March. As I understand it, all your modern lubricants require Group III base oils to manufacture and the majority of the supply is currently cut off. Some of the plants were badly damaged and may not be back online for a long time, if ever. So things could get pretty ugly.

I have a long time friend who is a department head in a multi million dollar company in an industry directly downstream of Oil. Most of the prices of their production materials increased 50% to 70% in a matter of days. Things are going to get fucked if the dude I use as a "normie barometer" is calling me in the middle of the week, hammered at 6:15 pm, yelling about how fucked it all is and how Trump sold out the country to the Jews and how he should just cash out and live in a cabin before the apocalypse really starts.
