A lot of people used to mock Spirit and criticize their customer service but in its entire operating history dating back to 1992 Spirit never lost a passenger and never lost a single aircraft. They consistently received some of the highest safety recognition awards from the FAA. Every Spirit flight that ever took off landed safely.
