The game makes it somewhat hard to not see the androids(AI with a body) as conscious and it could possibly be our future. How will we deal with that? It is easy to not treat a chat bot as a human being but once they look like humans I think there will be many civil right movements that will demand rights for androids and since they could be much more capable than humans they could actually replace us. How to deal with that in future?
Single player games are so boring. The fun aspect of gaming is competition which is why I only play pvp shooters.
Is it a fun game?
>>534344241Its fiction Nothing we've ever created as fiction has ever became non fiction
>>534344304You don't know catharsis until you battle someone on tetrio. It's better than sex. Fuck it, I broke up with my bitch when I got into the game, because what's the point if the game makes me cum harder than a vagina??
>>534344304Play predecessor
>>534344368>TETR.IOLooks interesting ngl. Ima check this out
>>534344311I enjoyed it. It is also the only game I played where decision(And your own failures, for example losing in a fight) actually matters through the game and not just in the outro.
I strongly doubt the prospect of realistic-looking humanoids taking off in the westThe game shows off early the on-the-nose metaphor shit like the androids having to stand at the back of the bus, I personally doubt corporate America would want to come near to even the aesthetic resemblance to slaveryI think if robot servants take off, it will come after a major design challenge to come up with looks that a) leave no doubt to anyone seeing it that it is a purely artificial machine with no personhood b) dodge the uncanny valley and c) be overall aesthetically pleasing to look at
>>534344241>game makes it somewhat hard to not see the androids as consciousYou took the easy path laid before you and missed the whole point: They AREN'T sentient, but if the mimicry is close enough to make you respond emotionally, would you really care either way?
>>534344304You need to be 18 to post here.
>>534344241no. i am not a homosexual
>>534344241Story games are boring as fuck
>>534344241it looks like one of those boring pretentious moviegames that tries way too hard to seem "deep" and "philosophical"
>>534344241i dont like the 3d realistic style of newer games
>>534344563This. Unless it's a horror game, it's boring.
>>534344241YOU ARE BRAINBROKEN AI's wouldn't look like us but they would have to communicate and at some point seduce us. It will ultimately be a scam
>>534344523I made the android the protest as violent as possible so there will be a human backlash and then I made them fail because I thought that's the right approach because they aren't actually sentient but sometimes it was hard to follow through because human emotions don't care much about the fact that they aren't conscious.
>>534344755There is a huge demand for sex androids, and most will want a human(or at least anthropomorphic) looking one who can do more than sex.
>>534344346For a severe lack of motivation, that is all.
>>534344457Have you played the company's other games?Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls (Ellen Page as protagonist)
>>534344241Once they can actually feel pain, and catch diseases that humans can, then they are human
>>534346241Will a tranny actually be a woman if it can get cervical cancer?
>>534346187I played Fahrenheit, my favorite game of David Cage. I unironically loved the quick time events it made me feel like I was in trance and merged with game. I also played Heavy Rain which was somewhat good but I didn't play Beyond Two Souls because it seems too be a female game.
>>534346470>Fahrenheit, my favorite game of David CageSame, such a gem back then, that's why I was hyped for Heavy Rain when it came out but it kinda felt short except for the graphics, so when it was BTS turn I just played it once and didn't really dive into it so I lost interest for the next game (although thinking back it had an interesting premise - an invisible entity protecting the protagonist) and for all the newer games/services coming out, and for good reason. You made me reconsider, I guess it's a more relevant topic nowadays.
>>534344241The premise of the game is that the androids ARE sentient. In reality, it will never happen.
I followed the violent path but spared the two cops and specifically broadcasted that were making an android ethnostate. With the decom camps liberated, weapons and gear seized, and an entire army created with more likely headed to the state to join theyd likely win. Literally the only thing left is to be able to self produce blue-blood formula and industrial metallurgy (which its fucking Detroit duh) and its game over. Whats funny is the game punishes you for choosing this option but if Connor stays loyal to the end when he and Marcus fight it reveals that the corporation/government didnt mind if they wanted to remain peaceful or not separate as itd mean theyd still have to work and be treated like everyone else under their rule. But by becoming separatists they circumvent their power to form their own and thus pose a long term challenge. >tldr android ethnostate when?
