Why has this taken off so heavily in recent years? Who is buying this sloppa?
>>534385583It's just millennials with nothing to live for right?
>>534385583Instead of making 90s style comics or 90s style music they brought back 90s style speculation bubbles.
>>534385613got bored with that franchise by 1999i don't get the obsession, let alone into adulthood
>>534385583The real question is who are the idiots buying these on ebay? Are they all resellers too?
It’s going to pop like comics and baseball cards, so not a good investment
>>534385583millennial manchildren who refuse to start a familySAD! PATHETIC!
>>534385682AI will pop just like DotCom
>>534385583my retirement is heavily invested in funko pops
Nintendo can print any card at any time ruining your "investment".
>>534385613Is this going to be another classic video game scam isn't it. Some rich Jew will own the grading company, then set the market for whatever collection they already owned.
>>534385777>>534385583POKEMON IS FOR KIDSYOU PEOPLE ARE IN ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT GROW UP PETER PAN!
>>534385583>Who is buying this sloppa?Drug cartels and criminals use it for money laundering.its also easier to smuggle pokemon cards instead of money or bitcoin. basically pokemon cards are like a liquidity pool for them.
>>534385613interesting that they actually reached a peak during COVID and fell after COVID
Pokémon cards are the modern version of silver and gold. You did buy the dip, right?
>>534385583I heard of this last month sometime. Somebody posted this repost of something else and I saved it. I did not know why until now.
>>534385583>Soul vs SoulessThis is what the pokemon poptarts used to look like, you know actually pokemon themed. America has lost the technology to make pokemon themed sprinkles I suppose. This modern stuff is just vanilla icing poptarts with regular sprinkles on them. What exactly makes it pokemon themed other then the box but even pikachu on the box isn't drawn correctly either.
Someone stole my 151 first series holosStraight out the book tooFeels bad man
Lots of pokemon merch has been hoarded by resellers
>>534385711is a PSYOP made by jews and pokemon is lucky enough to get money for itinfantilization of adults>adults are just kids with money! go buy pokemon cards!
>>534385583Everyone is trying to be a scalper its fucking bananas. Everyone wants quick and easy money
>>534386020A little shrinkflation too.
>>534385711>Modern adulthood at least for men = Blamed for everything bad in society/the world, openly discriminated against, deliberatly kept out of higher paying jobs, etc.I'm not saying it is right but people en masse delving back into adolescence is a sign of a hostile sick society.
this is the ultimate sign of economic ruination btw, pieces of cardboard once formerly signs of middle class leisure luxury are becoming a replacement for investing in precious medals
>>534386178True plus it isn't even just shrinkflation either. It's funny how shrinkflation is supposed to stave off inflation but instead everything is getting hit by the double whammy of both shrinkflation plus higher prices as well which the shrinkflation as we are told is supposed to keep from happening. Interesting how that happens.
>>534385613It's cryptobros with more cash than senseThey could be building war chests like Buffet, but instead they are buying Pokemon cards
>>534385711>>534386262societal infantilization. autism rooms, retards wanting to push the age of consent to 25, refusal to let go of toys and become adults. Its all coming to roost.
>>534385583top signal
>>534385583Top signal stuff. All the sneakers/crypto bros, tech nerds, rich people are jumping into this stuff but it's not reliable at all. It's all cheap cards that Pokemn will print forever
>>534385744It's a standard scam>Buy product>Start reselling product at inflated rates>Convince others that they can do the same>Retards buy product at inflated rates and are left holding the bag.It happened with 'certified' VHS tapes a few years ago and it's gonna happen with crypto in a few years from now.
>>534386290bullets, salt and rice>>>>precious metals
>>534385583people desperate to make money are buying it to sell to other people desperate to make money, eventually it reaches a point where nobody is willing to pay because they don't believe anyone will buy it any higher than that, and someone is left holding the bag. it happens to pokemon stuff because there is also a reputation with pokemon stuff driven by the fact there are collectors who actually want pokemon shit on their shelves and are willing to pay an inflated price for it, but then it inflates beyond that from speculative frenzy. but the frenzy is so much that it attracts even more frenzy. now pokemon stuff is seen as one of the hottest things to speculate on. but eventually too many people will be left holding too many bags and the reputation of being able to easily make big money flipping pokemons will collapse and the speculators will move on to something else, but not all of them, since the big fans who still want pokeshit on their shelves will still be around.
>>534385711>>534385613I play romhacks and fangames to this day but havent bought a single game or merchandise after Pokemon Platinum.
>>534385583>Pokemon Pop tartsSir, this is a rainbow sprinkle.(Only 4 colors) Nevermind, sir this is a four-color-sprinkle. There's nothing Pokemon here other than the box it comes in.
