I live in a ridiculously blue zip code (90%+ vote D in every election) just as it probably is in Martha's Vineyard and the moment they personally get fucked with/scared/whatever from an immigrant is the moment they start changing their tune. Like it snaps them out of some part of the spectrum of their DNC worldview. My town has very, very few non-whites (who weren't Latinos) up until COVID when niggers started arriving (which is a whole 'nother rabbit hole) and all of a sudden niggers are downtown (which is pretty small) chimping out to the point of getting arrested on the regular and the difference is VERY noticeable.

The elite dont want more children for the working class. They are spending their money on lobbyists that are anti natal. They are spending on AI. They are spending to downsize companies and sectors of the economy. This is maybe the one overlap that dems and repubs can get behind.
