The one good thing that happened was that our local stores started selling cheaper food to compete with Lidl. Product range became larger. I think Lidl is good in the long run because it keeps our local jews in a tight leash. I go there a couple times a year to check if they have any new products, other than that I don't shop there.

I recently discovered a Finnish memorial park near the airport on the Sunshine Coast.It's a quaint little park dedicated to the Finnish who settled the area and grew sugar cane. It is in the middle of nowhere among cane fields and a machine yard. Nice peaceful place to sit and chill for a bit on a sunny day.
