what makes you think nuclear energy is fake? i haven't seen anyone give good scientific evidence to refute it

fuck that crap

With DEI jeets and niggers quaneesha's running shit, the world would become radiactive fast.

It is pretty stupid, but right wingers tout is as a useless alternative to renewables because they love to hate green energy for whatever reason. The simple, boring solution to our energy needs is wind and solar with batteries for storage. We don't need meme energy anymore.
>>
Corporate greed. Pic related.

Uranium can last 100-500 more years. Thorium will last 3,000+ years.

Just like the Tom Ogle carb got shut the fuck down. It's like taking your gas v10 F250 lifted 4x4 from 10 mpg to 130 mpg. Better even.
>>
>>534456191
Radioactive waste is superior in every metric because it's recyclable, easily dilutable, and extremely efficient at storage. We can now recycle 90% of all high-level waste into useable fuel, which decays to something inert by the end of the fuel cycle.

Also, water is one of the hardest things to contaminate with radiation because the water itself doesn't become irradiated. Instead, the radiation sediments in the water. Sediments flow downstream and out into the ocean where the radioactive particles basically dissipate. And for groundwater; How do radioactive particles make it through tens, hundreds or even kilometers of rock, sediment and soil? It's naturally self-filtering.

>uranium will run out in decades
The solution to global consumption is to exterminate non-Europeans.

>takes longer to build than renewables and costs more
The only renewable thing about "renewables" is government subsidization, and they don't work to begin with.
>>
>>534456191
Nuclear fuel cycle has literally been closed.
Running out of uranium is as much of a meme as running out of oil reserves.
Hydro is king, true.

>>534456576
The cost of the massive amount of solar and wind plus batteries and lifecycle costs is drastically higher than nuclear. You're just a fucking retard that bought into a lie sold by insiders who wanted to use government to build their investment portfolio.
>>
>>534456576
trees are renewables so lets just burn them
>>
>nuclear waste problem hasn't been solved
dig a deep hole and put it in the ground
>uranium will run out in decades
reprocess spent fuel (also solves the above issue)

what is base load power
>>
>>534456740
>Hydro is king, true.
Only closed-loop pumped storage hydro built exclusively above flood plains.
>>
>>534456759
storing it is extremely wasteful, because much of the conventional reactor waste can be recycled in specialized Thorium reactors, and normal Thorium cycle reactors can breed more Uranium.

>>534456740
Is also right to an extent, it can still run out however, just not in this astrological age (2,160+ years of current use).

Also the hydrocarbon cycle is also partially closed as well. Look up serpentization and the creation of hydrocarbons from mundane rocks at high pressure. The Earth literally creates abiogenic oil at the right pressure and temperature, and depending on temperature and pressure this can either solidify as coal-like minerals, oil-like minerals, or natural gases. All without any living organisms. However, endoliths and other living organisms can also heavily modify the cycle as well and there are also fields that are composed of decaying biological matter as well.

Corporations and greed fucks humanity and the environment over on a level most people do not comprehend.

nuclear waste has been solved
uranium is not running out
up front, yeah. in a few years no. after that it makes money.
you like solar and wind because you are jewish or a boomer and you are addicted to gdp-line-go-up dopamine hits and you are an addict.
you want customers buying replacement solar panels every 3 years or paying for the price of an entire new car when the battery on the EV is toast after 4 years and some road salt.

why don't we just accumulate a bunch of it and launch it into the sun every now and then

The nuclear sycophants seem to miss that the economics are warped by the decades the US Government had coal fired power plants running for 40 years only for gaseous diffusion of uranium.
>>
>>534456191
>nuclear waste
Dump it in outer space
>uranium will run out
Implying it's true and we can't make more (it's not), we can pivot to plutonium
>takes longer to build
It's more efficient so it more than pays for itself in the long run
>costs more
See above
So in conclusion, you lied three times in three sentences

77.34 EUR/MWh

First two points I don't care. I won't be here if those things happen to become a problem in the future. Third point is a mutt point because you are investing more resources into something that has a higher energy output relative to it's alternatives.

>uranium will run out in decades
This is based on enriching U235. Breeder reactors and molten salt reactors burn U238 which would last 100k of years with current reserves, before even factoring in Thorium transmuting to U233. Fuel in inexhaustible for all practical purpose with proper reactor design.
50 years have been wasted because of green retards. China now has a 30 year jump on those technologies.
