Tried learning Japanese on two separate occasions but gave up both times. It was fun learning the vocab with an Anki deck but when it came to kanji, grammar and homophones I just crumbled and gave up.I don't think I was sufficiently motivated. If I actually lived in a foreign country then I think I would make an effort to learn the language but without that incentive I am too lazy.
