All Ikea furniture is cheap MDF crap. MDF is made from sawdust. Ikea buys the sawdust in bulk from BoiseCascade. Ikea makes their products from waste. The stuff that uses real lumber is usually low quality softwoods anyway, stuff that is bioengineered and grown in managed forests that are seasonally cultivated.
