Orthohanta viruses do not usually transmit human to human, they are passed on by rats. Either they have a rat infestation on board or the virus has evolved and none of them is coming out that ship alive.

Don’t care. Still not getting it (the vaccine). Hahahaha

Andes Orthohantavirus

Found in Argentina and Chile is the only strain that jumps human to human, the cruise ship departed from Argentina

The first patient most likely got it before boarding and has been spreading it among them all before dying

Maria Van Kerkhove, the head of WHO’s epidemic and pandemic preparedness, said:

"We do believe that there may be some human-to-human transmission that is happening among the really close contacts.”

She said the first case was likely infected before boarding the cruise ship, which is currently anchored off Cape Verde.

hantavirus has been known for decades as well as SARS-covid and many others. just because normies don't care about diseases doesn't mean they don't exist. if the covid-type that's usually found in camels ever mutates into a new strain that easily infects humans thanks to some camel-fucking-muslim or whatever things are gonna get real interesting because it has a 30% kill rate. compare that to the bullshit going on 2020 - 2022 with just a ~5 - 10% kill rate.
>>
>>534474461
mice and rats pass hantavirus on via their excrements. either you eat it with food made in a filthy kitchen with zero hygiene or from inhaling the dried mouse/rat shit.
>>
Some data

Transmission Clusters: Several outbreaks (notably the 2018–2019 Epuyén outbreak) provided deep genetic data. In that event, a single funeral led to 34 cases and 11 deaths, allowing scientists to map exactly how the virus jumped from person to person through close social contact.

>Super-spreaders: Research has identified that some individuals carry a much higher viral load, making them more likely to transmit the virus than others.

>Asymptomatic Spread: We aren't 100% sure if someone can spread it before they feel sick. There is some evidence (from a study of a 10-year-old in Chile) that the virus is present in the blood days before fever starts.

Current Update (May 5, 2026)
Laboratories in South Africa (NICD) are currently performing "metagenomic sequencing" on samples from the cruise ship victims. They are comparing the ship's strain to the 2018 Argentina strain to see if the virus has mutated to become more transmissible, which would explain why it hit a cruise ship environment so effectively.
>>
Can any non-retarded anon tell me how bad this situation is?

not confirmed imo. it's a cruise ship, there just isn't much space to get away if someone carries one disease or another aboard.
>15000 people went through the same terminal that day that the women collapsed at just hours before she died, she would have been shedding and puking all over the place
depends on how she died. maybe her kidneys just failed and she went into shock and collapsed. alas her breath was already a risk of infection for others. the plane passengers in particular may be fucked.

>virus that never existed yesterday
hantavirus is very much real and has been known about for a very long time. The only reason nobody talks about it is because it typically only infects people digging through abandoned structures that are filled with infected rodents. You really have to get in the shitty muck and roll around in it because it (until now apparently) only transmits through contact with piss or shit. It's only any concern at all given its low incidence of infection because its deathrate is extremely high. Something like 1/3rd of people who get infected end up dying.

Concise Timeline: April–May 2026
April 1: Departs Ushuaia, Argentina on the MV Hondius. She is traveling with her husband (Case 1).
April 6: Her husband begins showing symptoms (fever, headache, diarrhea) while the ship is at sea.
April 11: Her husband dies on board from respiratory distress. She remains on the ship as a "close contact."
April 24 (Morning): The ship reaches Saint Helena. Her husband’s body is disembarked for repatriation. She also disembarks, reporting gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea/vomiting). April 25 (Afternoon): She boards Airlink Flight 4Z 023 from Saint Helena to Johannesburg, South Africa. Her condition deteriorates significantly mid-flight.
April 26 (Evening): The flight lands. She collapses at the airport and is rushed to a hospital in Kempton Park, where she is pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Info on flight passengers

The Dutch Group
The most immediate concern involves the small group of 8 Dutch nationals who were also on the cruise. Several of them were traveling back to the Netherlands alongside Case 2.

Status: They have been located by the Dutch public health service (RIVM) and are currently under "active monitoring" at home. None have shown symptoms as of today.

The South African Arrivals
Many of the passengers on the flight were local residents returning to South Africa or visitors starting a safari.

Contact Tracing: The NICD has successfully contacted 14 individuals who were seated within the "high-risk zone" (two rows in front, behind, and beside the victim).

Location: Most are located in the Gauteng province (Johannesburg and Pretoria) and have been asked to self-isolate and report their temperature daily for 21 days.

International Transit
This is the most complex part of the investigation. Johannesburg is a transit point for travelers going back to Europe, North America, and Australia.

The Search: The WHO is working with airline manifests to determine if any "high-risk" passengers boarded connecting international flights on the evening of April 25 or the morning of April 26.

Countries Notified: Early reports suggest some passengers may have traveled onward to the UK, Germany, and the United States. These governments have been formally notified via the International Health Regulations (IHR) focal points.

It all comes down to the sequencing in South Africa

Patient Zero

The Pre-Boarding Theory (Most Likely): The man likely contracted the virus in Argentina shortly before the ship sailed on April 1. He and his wife reportedly spent time in the rural outskirts of Ushuaia and the Patagonian region before boarding. Because the incubation period can last up to 6 weeks, the timing matches perfectly for him to have inhaled dust from an infected long-tailed pygmy rice rat while hiking or staying in a rural cabin, then bringing the "dormant" virus onto the ship.

The Number of "Unrelated" Cases: The fact that a German passenger and two crew members (who weren't part of the Dutch couple's inner circle) are now symptomatic is the biggest red flag. If they didn't have close contact with the Dutch couple, it suggests either a shared environmental source on the ship or that the virus is more transmissible than the 2018 version.

We are on a 48 hour watch period until they get the breakdown>>534477198
If it is more transmissible then these measures will most likely fail

close quarters increases transmissibility of pathogens, regardless of type

hantavirus was/is presumed to be low human-to-human transmissibility
first two dead are married couple (close sexual contact)
either they ate the same/same source of contamination, or the second victim is a human2human transmission, hence delay and probably less intense (but still deadly)

not really
its not confirmed to go there yet and wont be until the sequencing comes back tomorrow
thats important though
if they get permission to dock near(they 100% wont be allowed in port) then its the same strain

BUT
If they dont allow it, that means they are hiding something

They are already talking about a specialist non-contact corridor straight onto ICU planes, they arent taking this lightly

There is a couple of ways to look at this
Cape verde, I dont blame them, they have no where near the capability to deal with this if it escalates
BUT
Here is the catch, if they were all offloaded and put into isolation immediately, thats potentially safer than making them sail another couple of days whilst infecting each other
The sequencing from tomorrow could already be out of date by the time it docks somewhere else

If you think about it, a cruise ship is the perfect place to release novel pathogens for study on human populations. If shit goes really south, everyone is already fully contained. They can't leave. They can't disobey. Most people here already probably expect glowniggers to do this; they just haven't thought about why yet. Could also be a psyop in the future to acquiesce people to the idea of culling the infected for the greater good, etc. There are also no legal protections in international waters. If you go on a cruise you're agreeing to be experimented on by governments, corporations, darpa, etc.

I am aware. There should still be many more people in advanced stages if CFR was that high. Unless there was no person to person transmission and all 3 actually got infected together back in Arg.
A scenario were the 3rd (at least) got infected on board and ran through the entire course with everyone else allegedly also infected but perfectly fine is extremely unlikely.
Of course we'll see once mass testing is performed, and the next few days will confirm whichever scenario we're under.

There is not a single virus or parasite that is capable of that.
People forgot, those organisms WANT to live. They don't actually want the host to die.
The only reason they do generally is, lack of exposure. The hosts simply have no accomodations.
However, viruses are better than niggers and jeets. They will adjust so as to be less intrusive to their host. Over time, you won't even notice them.

tomorrow is when you have to start paying attention
it will be sequenced by then
If its close to the 2018 strain, lower level
If its changed, all bets are off
If they start bullshitting about it, watch what happens to the ship, they are trying to get permission to dock in the canaries, if it gets refused you know something is up
