>>534476642It's a matter of cost/payout. If the cost of a college degree outweighs the payout, then it is a scam. On the personal level. College is a great learning experience de facto, but If you end up paying thousands of dollars for a degree you aren't using then, either, the prices are too high for that degree, or you fucked up and can't find a job for another reason (ie you shouldn't've gone there in the first place for a "good job") the market, being always optimistic, assumes you will always get a job in your field. That is false. Thus the scam creeps in. "Of course you'll get a good job in your field!" That don't always play out. Which makes the advertisment suspect. Perhaps, itf I may be so bold, a more honest degree-to-job system were implemented, it could have better returns. However, as it is, it specifically targets a demographic that ain't got the experience to see an expensive hobby from a viable career. Personally, I blame the banks.
