Boring here maybe while half of the planet then was on fucking fire. Besides, when has /pol/ ever said that?

Probably the lack of distraction technology.
We had to entertain ourselves when not in front of the TV or playing Playstation.
A lot more time spent outside skateboarding, playing sports, socializing.
You had to develop a personality.
Now, there is a war against sincerity.
Can't try too hard, care too much...
That would be gay & performative.
It sounds like Boomer shit, but its true.
We had less to distract ourselves with compared to today (technically, more when compared to our parents) so we had less opportunities to shut ourselves out and cultivate a false sense of superiority.
If you went abroad, you'd share your photos with your buddies. Now, you see people going abroad & people will seethe over fomo.

You have to udnerstand that the 90s had a lot of childish games and media and more vibrant colors and a certain innocence and all that but there was still this underlying existential angst and boredom, like there was nothing really worth doing to do. It was arguably more true then that it is now.

Dont say it without proof

I didn't have internet until the mid 90's which meant I had to read books for entertainment. You niggers wouldn't understand but once upon a time, white people would put ink on paper with runes that meant things and we could share ideas by reading the runes on paper. But since the dark age of technology, people have forgotten how to read a book or think deeply.

The Cold War was over, the War on Terror (aka Wars for Israel) had not yet begun. A few pissant wars in places no one could point to on a map.
Nonsense like OJ and Clinton's blowjob and Millennium Bug was blown way out of proportion for lack of anything else to care about.
If you are a normie who likes to grill, it was great. If you are someone who enjoys happenings, it was the most tedious time in history.

Born 83 here. I loved the 90's as a kid. It had something that has been lost today - color.
And I'm not just talking about actual color, life was fun. Themed restaurants, actual movie hype (not today's crappy social media "hype"), no cellphones, actual toy stores everywhere...
Shit, when The Lost World: Jurassic Park came out every mall in the county was packed with merch and pop-up stores selling stuff for it. My entire bedroom was packed with posters, toys and shirts.

I was 14 and went to a late night viewing of it. Stood in line outside the cinema with my friends at 22:30, got our snacks and drinks (still affordable even for a kid back then) and movie started at 23:15. No parents, no phones. Wasn't home until 02:30 at night.

The 90's were a different time where you could actually get bored.

The 90's and 2000's were literally the peak of humanity, and now everywhere is just Weimar Germany.
>>
They just were.

Holy shit.
