But in a certain sense it's arguable that relationships with struggle, a tug and pull between parties, are more meaningful in the end. A relationship with a human who can disagree with you, dislike you, and even leave you will always have more depth than a relationship with an AI that can do none of that, for example. That that message seems to be lost on them kinda maps with their whole deal though. Throughout the bible there's this tension and back and force between "gods chosen people" and the fact they simultaneously repeatedly defy and reject him and are subsequently punished for it. There's an interpretation there within some christian circles that the entierly of the jewish peoples history since then with all the wandering and persecution that has occurred over the past millennia is sinply divine retribution and just punishment for the rejection of the messiah and death of christ and that it will continue until they come around just like with all the other punishments that were inflicted. It fits the themes of their own holy book perfectly well.
