The whole experitment with blending female and male employment, that rperesented a emergency war time act became the norm. Inititally, it meant that the baby boomers benefited from dual income. However, over the generations, the prices adjsuted, with declining birthrates, as womens energy was now siphened off by economic activity, instead of being spend on reproductive labour. I am not saying the boomers are victims too, but what i am pointing to, is that they just went along with "the system", and it worked for them ... until it dosen't.
