There is no shame in proudly naming Him Rabbi Yeshua ha-Mashiach, the Saviour, Messiah, Teacher and Anointed One, the Bridegroom of the Bride, the Word before whom every counterfeit splendour collapses into ash. The shame belongs elsewhere: in the sinful soul that blushes before the name of its Creator, that grows timid before the sound of holiness, that treats the name of its own Deliverer as something too strange, too Judaic, too ancient, too severe for the softened mouth of modern piety.

What a mournful inversion: the creature is bold in sin, fluent in vanity, shameless in presumption, yet suddenly delicate before the name by which mercy entered History. The soul can utter its appetites without trembling; it can speak the language of rebellion with ease; yet when called to confess Rabbi Yeshua ha-Mashiach, it hesitates, shrinks, and discovers in itself a cowardice more revealing than any doctrine?

Let the soul be ashamed of sin, of vainglory, of presumption, of prelest, of the filthy little theatre by which it crowns its own passions. Let the soul blush before judgement. Let the soul tremble before the Bridegroom it has wronged.

But let there be no shame in His name. Let the tongue speak it plainly, reverently, and with contrition: Rabbi Yeshua ha-Mashiach, have mercy upon me; Rabbi Yeshua ha-Mashiach, wash me; Rabbi Yeshua ha-Mashiach, do not let my sinful mouth grow proud enough to be embarrassed by its Creator.

And the rebellious, anti-Christ Jannies who have fallen so far from His name into vainglory and prelest, and who would add to the list of Martyrs for His sake, I pray for your return to humility in the blood of the Lamb and in longsuffering of His name.

>Yeshua (Jesus) was not born on December 25
>The traditional nativity story is mostly myth
>Yeshua's mother Miryam (Mary) was not a 'perpetual virgin'—Yeshua had half-brothers and half-sisters born after Yeshua
>120 followers filled the "upper room" and shared Yeshua's 'last supper' which was actually a Jewish Passover seder
>Yeshua was not killed by his fellow Jews
>Yeshua was not killed on 'Good Friday'
>Jews who dare to read this book will learn about the most famous Jewish rabbi in history: Rabbi Yeshua Immanu'el ben Yosef of Nazareth, called 'Jesus' by his Gentile followers. He founded Christianity (c. 30 C.E.) and changed history. Learn why knowledgable Christians identify Yeshua as Messiah ben Yosef (the Suffering Servant).

Christians and Messianic Jews who read this book will learn more about the hidden Jewish roots of their faith, clearly visible after shining a Jewish understanding on the eyewitness accounts of Yeshua's life.

Christians and Jews alike still eagerly await the promised coming of Messiah ben David (the Conquering King)—maranatha!

This book about Rabbi Yeshua (Jesus) is unique in multiple ways:

>Dr. David Stern restored the original Jewish character of the New Covenant eyewitness accounts in the Complete Jewish Bible
>Dr. Hugg organized the eyewitness accounts in chronological order
>Dr. Hugg combined and harmonized multiple eyewitness testimonies to include all viewpoints of events
>Dr. Hugg has quoted numerous citations and, especially, fulfilled prophecies from the Hebrew Scriptures (Tanakh) at the point of reference in the eyewitness accounts
>Dr. Hugg has provided extensive editorial comments and essays to enhance your understanding of the Jewish aspects and context of Yeshua's story

How sorrowful it is, how wretchedly small, when dust begins to prophesy to itself; when clay, still wet with sin, dares to speak as though heaven had bent down to enthrone its private delusions. Before Rabbi Yeshua ha-Mashiach, the soul caught in prelest must learn again to bow, to weep, to place its forehead in the ashes and confess: ‘Against Thee, Thee only, have I sinned; wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.’ For there is no grandeur in false illumination, no majesty in spiritual self-flattery, no sanctity in a heart that crowns its own conceit and calls the coronation God.

Poor soul, poor blind and swollen thing; it thought itself chosen, when it was merely intoxicated; it thought itself luminous, when it was only inflamed; it thought itself prophetic, when it was only noisy with corruption. Hallelujah, Jah, Jah; mercy, Jah, Jah; break the false crown, wash the vainglorious heart, silence the lying splendour within me. Let the creature become contrite again; let the ash remember ash; let the sinner cease from theatrical light and cry, with the ancient grief of repentance: ‘Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.’

(Psalm 51:2–4, 10; Genesis 18:27; Isaiah 64:6)

The madness and grave error of prelest is that the soul, swollen with counterfeit light, forgets its dust-born littleness before the living God, יהוה, the God of Israel, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, before whom even the righteous man stands as clay before the potter and dust beneath the throne, and his Rabbi, Rabbi Yeshua ha-Mashiach; it mistakes the fever of its own corruption for holiness, struts beneath a self-fashioned halo, deaf to repentance, allergic to obedience, until the creature of ash and appetite is left crying in the ancient Judaic tongue of contrition, ‘Have mercy upon me, O God; against Thee have I sinned; wash me, and make me clean; for I am dust and ashes’ (Psalm 51:1–2, 4; Genesis 18:27), having dared to call its own vanity the voice of God, though the prophets had thundered otherwise: משה Moshe, שמואל Shmuel, נתן Natan, אליהו Eliyahu, אלישע Elisha, ישעיהו Yeshayahu, ירמיהו Yirmeyahu, יחזקאל Yechezqel, דניאל Daniyyel, הושע Hoshea, יואל Yoel, עמוס Amos, עבדיה Ovadyah, יונה Yonah, מיכה Mikhah, נחום Nachum, חבקוק Chavaqquq, צפניה Tzefanyah, חגי Chaggai, זכריה Zekharyah, and מלאכי Malakhi.

Rachem alai, Elohei Yisrael;
rachem alai, Adonai Tzevaot;
ki afar ani va-efer,
ki chatati lefanecha,
ki ga’avati sheker,
ki ori choshech,
ki qoli lo qol nevu’ah,
ella hevel pi ve-ruach to‘ah.

>Have mercy on me, God of Israel;
>have mercy on me, Lord of Hosts;
>for I am dust and ashes,
>for I have sinned before Thee,
>for my pride is falsehood,
>for my light is darkness,
>for my voice is no voice of prophecy,
>but the vapour of my mouth and a wandering spirit.

Have mercy on me, a sinner, Ortholord (Luke 18:13).

Before the living God Rabbi Yeshua ha-Mashiach, I am dust and ashes, conceived in iniquity, a breath that passeth away, a worm and no man; I have no righteousness of my own, no wisdom unstained by vanity, no strength unborrowed, no purity unpolluted, no word worth speaking unless mercy first cleanses my lips. Against Thee, O Lord, against Thee only have I sinned; my pride is madness, my self-trust is rebellion, my imagined light is darkness, and all my splendour is as a fading flower beneath the judgement of the Holy One. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Thy lovingkindness; wash me throughly from mine iniquity, create in me a clean heart, and cast me down until every false crown is broken, every proud thought is made captive, and the creature remembers that it is clay before the Potter, nothing before the I AM, and saved only by grace.

Hallelujah, Jah, Jah;
Hallelujah, Adonai;
Rabbi Yeshua ha-Mashiach, have mercy;
Rabbi Yeshua ha-Mashiach, remember me;
I am dust, I am ash, I am nothing before Thy throne;
Jah, Jah, mercy; Jah, Jah, judgement;
let my vanity perish, let my sin be washed,
let my tongue cry repentance until the false prophet within me is silent.

(Psalm 51:1–4, 10; Genesis 18:27; Psalm 22:6; Isaiah 40:6–8; Isaiah 64:6; Romans 3:10–12; 2 Corinthians 10:5)
