Because there is no right wing, only reactionary butthurt movements which get labeled right wing. A genuine right wing movement would be pro-active and visionary, not reactive and backwards-looking. The real question you should be asking yourself is why isn’t there a real right wing movement? There certainly is a hunger for it, there certainly exist talented individuals who could create it… but where is it? If you find the answer to that question, you’ll also find the answer to your initial question.
I can't think of any policy differences between the old and "new" Republican party. Some of the lip service to the proles is new, but everything they do once in power is the same.
