Am I just getting old or has every online space become absolutely miserable? Like, you try and watch any video, you look at the discussions, it's politics and people arguing. You read a story of a child cancer patient surviving, you scroll down. Arguing, politics. You listen to a song and scroll down, etc, etc. It's always the same discussions, always the same arguments, always the same talking points. At some point it just feels like you're watching bots fight bots, and it's so pervasive there's literally no escaping it. At this point, I feel like you'd be able to talk with the average anon on /b/ circa 2010 easier than pretty much every corner of the internet at this point.

Long term I think us like minded people need to find each other in real life and build our own societies together away from all this nonsense. I've so far been able to meet some of us /pol/tards irl (not including my wife who I met on /x/ who's my light in the darkness and brings the color to my life) and it's been the second most consequential thing I've done since 2020 after meeting my wife.
