How do you survive by day trading?
Where do you get all the secret insider info from pharma startups, glucose tracking companies, korean, chinese power companies, etc?

Do you have some kind of news crawler set up? Do you just read RSS feed of business and company news?

90 something % of day traders give away their cash to the 10% that make it big. Don't gamble.

Understand what volume.profile is and how it works. You're not making big wins, your making consistent small wins. Find a few niche stocks with high volatility, this means their price fluctuates all the time.

These are for me. I need 300 euros montly to survive. If I make 60 euros daily that's fine with me.

I lost a lot, now I'm trying to make back what I lost on more stable stocks.

I've lost with oil bunkering penny stocks because turns out geopolitics didn't cause them to pump unfortunately.

>few niche stocks with high volatility
Which ones you mean? WHich industry?
I focus on tech mostly
Memory chips is a big thing now - sandisk, hk hynix, micron, etc are up 1000% since last summer
>>
>>534549963
Just stick to gold and a few currencies.
>>
>>534550746
How are chips made? What mines produce which minerals and rate earth metals? I think you should take a bit more time to truly understand the market and what trading actually is before ypu lose even more than ylu already have. Are you familiar with cumulative volume delta? The stock that you tade doesn't really matter as long as you've watched it for a while and recognize its volatility patterns.
>>
>>534550897
Fuck gold.
I lost on gold miners all my life's savings on march 3rd-4th . I never expected gold would crash like a shitcoin.

No one needs precious metals. Their value is greatly overinflated.

Currently half my money is in micron (bought at 420, which was already super late) and other half in ASTS. Good time to buy the latter it got tanked recently by the bad satellite launch.

I know 2 companies that deal with this stuff:
Applied Materials and MP materials

Do these patterns even have any meaning if most of the market is moving based on the few stocks in every specific industry?
I just check total mkt cap values, trading volume in the past day or a week to understand if any meaningful fluctuations are possible.

Too low swings. Maybe 4% weekly - tiny.
I focus on something that can bring in about 10% daily. On worst days - 5%.

I'm not a pro trader. But yeah I've seen order book in web versions of another trading app - basically how is the sell/buy ratio split in percentages. If sells exceed buys - just jump the ship then.

Micron, western digital, sandisk, intel is down today, but a good time to buy in the nearest 24 hours potentially.

>>534552351

On some platforms making several small trades will cause total fee to exceed any gains, that's why I ask. So it's more profitable to just do one big trade.

Rich French, Germans and Austrian boomers pour money into amateur F3, F2 drivers in hopes they become the next F1. A lot of pol people call this money laundering.

There are characteristics you need to develop (you won't).
>But so many regular people are making money in the market right now! Anon says he's up 50% YTD!!!
The markets have been in a macro uptrend for years. You could literally throw darts at a board and "make money". All of these gains (plus more) will be lost in the long-term. This is not a mere assumption; it happens literally every single time.
Humans (especially untrained in statistics) suffer from biases that make long-term alpha basically impossible. You are not immune to these biases without extensive training or winning the genetic lottery, this I promise you.
Investment billionaires like Buffett take advantage of this. Shorter term swing traders can also take advantage of this on a smaller scale. Day trading requires you to take advantage of a different set of human biases.
Most day "traders" try to use discretionary techniques to achieve alpha because (1) they think they have the ability to outsmart everyone else (even multi-billion dollar algorithms), and (2) they think even if they had the ability to outsmart everyone else, that this alone is sufficient. Succeeding with this approach in the long term requires extraordinary understanding of market psychology combined with rigorous emotional discipline. I am telling you this with utmost certainty: this combination of traits is exceedingly rare.
The less uncertain approach to long-term success is to use a quantitative/systemic strategy. Though less uncertain than discretionary strategies, developing and testing a quantitative strategy with long-term alpha requires extensive labor that you [almost certainly] will not be willing to do.
It's up to you. Everything else people tell you is cope.
>>
>>534549963
lol day trading is a fool's errand. yeah you'll get lucky here and there but the odds of you being able to do this long-term and not lose all your money are not great. it's not better than any sort of betting - sports, polymarket, whatever.

unfortunately jobs pay dogshit wages so idk what else there is to do to make real money

>>
>>534554609
No, the genetic lottery of psychological traits that are contrary to human nature.
The most simple example: most humans exit trades as they're winning to "lock in profits". This behavior is based on the human instinct of pursuing certainty. In trading, it is statistically wrong. There are a multitude of human instincts like this that are statistically detrimental; even a small degree of some of these instincts makes long-term alpha mathematically impossible.
