Forcing western countries to abandon it. They achieved all three objectives. The hope is that over time Israel will become a pariah state like Rhodesia and will collapse from lack of external support. The alternative as we stated before was to allow Gaza and the possibility of a Palestinian state to wither and die slowly over decades of Western Indifference.
