We subsidize food to keep the pleubs comfortable but also to control foreign nations. We sell shit so cheap they cant afford to grow it themselves and end up dependent upon us. And weve gotten so efficient at it the US doesn't use half of the developed arable farm land. We could double the production with a year warning if we gave a fuck. There wont be a food crisis unless its deliberate.
