It's weird how 90% of those subsidies go to large corporate farms owned by investment companies. It's literally socialism for corporations, brutal free markets for everyone else.
At least the 'conservatives' are less likely to dump wolves into the middle of your grazing land (currently happening in Oregon, Idaho, and Colorado), revoke your third plus generation water rights (California, Oregon, Washington), zone your farm land as wet lands, making it unusable(Oregon Washington), or just make it where if your farm loses money, you lose your farm zoning and tax breaks (everywhere).
But hey, fuck farmers, right? We don't need those idiots. Our food comes from Walmart, Costco, and Safeway, not farms!
