I assumed the US would destroy everyone, only to find out about HKS, Trust, Veilside, etc. The Japanese cars were far and away the fastest with a GTR covering the 1/4 mile in 9.6 or some such absurdity. The author coped about some of the Japanese cars just being thinly veiled racecars, but I knew what I wanted. Fast and the Furious dropped 6 yrs later and made it gay, but I still want a GTR. Have the $$ right now but can't justify it with a wife and kids, but maybe in a few years when I retire. The 90's were the end of a great era and I hate that my children will likely never know the degree of freedom we had.
