South Sudan imploded and devolved into a state of civil war, but now Sudan has done the same and it’s infinitely worse. Somalia might be another. Destabilized shithole for a long time, then Somali pirates scandal, bow everyone on the planet hates Somalia and most politically conscious Westerners want to recognize the breakaway state of Somaliland, which has been de facto independent for decades and is actually capable of governing itself. One could say a similar thing in regard to India, they missed out on their chance to rid corruption, industrialize, and develop, now their birthrates are collapsing and will soon be like that of a Western, developed country. It seems to be going backwards in many ways. As I mentioned before, their reputation is also ruined. Haiti also comes to mind, Venezuela as well, although now things are looking up for them. Mexico is lagging far behind more optimistic expectations for them.
