For example a lot of benefits of marriage were established through legislation and legal precedent to benefit and protect families. I'll repeat that, families. As in a nuclear family where a husband and wife provide for the children of the next generation. Women without rights to work of vote attained benefits in regards to inheriting shared estate assets, divorce assets (if applicable,) legal recognition as a familial unit and tax benefits to match. The queer community not bearing offspring brings nothing to society in return for those privileges. It's not exclusive to the gays. I hate the DINK movement as well. I believe gay people shouldn't recieve the same benefits as nuclear families. I also believe that if the benefits didn't exist they wouldnt marry.
