Why are chuds against renewable energy and fell for nuclear psyop?
>>
>>534723046
because of night and lack of wind
Spaniard told me
>>
>>534723046
Because they're retarded
>>
>>534723271
Batteries and gas backup takes care of that.
>>
>>534723046
Solar and wind aren't on demand like nuclear is. Nuclear's only real problem is the lack of a long term spent fuel repository in the U.S. because ObongoNigger cancelled it.

I happened to be an oil driller myself, which is renewable only retards don't know that.
>>
Its still too early. Solar panel installers are still cringe early adopters. It's comically low energy relative to river water plus gravity pumped hydro, coal, petrol nuclear etc.

Hold your horses and wait. The impedance is battery technology, and the fact that its both too expensive and not efficient or strong enough, someone from central jewish core military industries is gonna hustle a doped beryllium potassium gain of function that lets you store a dozen Bosnian jiggawatts inside a grain of rice when drones force that into existence over the next 40 years in the combat zone between usa and China in 2060.
>>
>>534723046
Because
>Hurr nuke also make bomb go boom!
>Nuclear energy stronk and masculine Durr

In terms of Return on Investment, pollution generated, and all sorts of other factors like there not being enough Uranium in the world to replace the energy generated by oil. Nuclear energy just isn't as good as solar.

We would have to build something like 5 new nuclear power plants each year for the next 50 years to replace the energy demands currently met by fossil fuels. It's an impossible pipe dream believed by idiots so that they can shout down any realistic attempts at energy independence.

Unsurprisingly you'll also notice that ZERO republican politicians ever talk about opening new nuclear plants because even they know that the investment wouldn't pay off. Or if they do talk about it things never move past the planning phase.
>>
>>534723046
they don't have organic opinions. their opinions are formed for them by marketing agents who pose as political commentators. so whatever vested interest has hired the marketing agent -- oil, automotive, etc. -- that's the opinion that gets delivered to them.
>>
>>534723363
OH yes that dastardly Obama man who hasn't been president for a decade is why the Republican controlled government in all three branches can't make Nuclear happen. Yeah that's totally what's happening. Obama waved his magic wand and forbid nuclear energy from happening using ancient nigger voodoo magic.

Damn bros. Even with all three branches under Republican control we just can't undo the Obama curse.

While I understand that nuclear is the objectively best option, I fucking hate how nuke-heads always say shit like "It's fool proof this time, it literally cannot end in disaster now!" THAT'S HOW IT HAPPENS YOU RETARDS YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THE DEPTH AND REACH OF HUMAN ERR.
>>

they can eliminate EV rebates and penalties for not meeting CAFE standards, though. they got that done in no time flat.
>>
Solar imposed by Green NAZI retards who don't give a shit how many rapefugee niggers burn down civilization just like they don't give a shit that German industry cannot run on solar and wind farts.
>>
Niggers are a renewable energy resource though we're trying to get rid of them. Ironically we're currently stuck with turbines that don't work.
>>
>>534723046
you need both. Nuclear for dense cities and solar/wind for rural areas
>>
>>534723299
yep they fell for fossil fuel industry propaganda. Wind and solar are free power once the very cheap cost of the turbine or panels is paid off. And batteries have advanced significantly and can power your home for days off renewable energy.

>inb4 an avalanche of fossil fuel industry talking points about how harvesting free power is actually a bad thing
>>
>>534723046
Real answer is renewables arent as efficient as fossil fuels. The ideal energy is a mixture of all of them, wity a slow phaseout of gas and a push for nuclear. Simply wind and water alone can't generate enough

Such as oil ? Oil is a HydroCarbon produced by the planet, we are all for renewable oil.

>>
>>534724115
>Simply wind and water alone can't generate enough
Of course it can, wind already powers 40% of Britain. Power in Australia becomes negatively priced for several hours every day due to rooftop solar. With sufficient batteries or other storage like pumped hydro, fossil fuels are simply unnecessary
>>
>>534723046
>Why are chuds against renewable energy and fell for nuclear psyop?

I hate both.

I want steampunk world. Wood and steam!

VALHALLA! Imorten TRUMP!
>>

>solar panels and windmills are literally not even recyclable so they go chucked into massive pits, polluting nature forever

At least nuclear waste eventually stops being radioactive.
>>
The only way to figure this shit out is to remove subsidies and allow what works to work in the market.

People are gonna quickly figure out if strip-mining for lithium to be powered by wind/solar makes more sense than hydro-electric / nuclear / coal / gas / whatever.

Only a mental fucking return (Green Faggot NAZI) believes that imposing a single solution is going to solve everything in optimal manner.

Australians that fell for the nuclear meme I find extremely bizarre. In Canada I can at least understand why the normies fell for the nuclear meme. It was pulled off more or less competently here, CANDU is neat enough and a sort of point of national pride, it's a reasonable misconception that a northern climate is not suited to solar.

But Australians that fell for that meme? It makes no sense at all. Australia is a solar powerhouse in waiting. Building nuclear there is pants on head retarded.
>>
>>534723046
I get clean energy, seems like a no brainer. I just dont like them pushing it so its easier to control everyone once electricity is the only power option. The push to get everyone in to new electric cars isnt about green energy, its about data collection and control.

>>
>>534723710
Yeah, it is his fault we don't have a deep geological repository. He cancelled it, and even if it was restarted it would take roughly 15-20 years to complete. I recognize it hurts your feelings when your nigger messiah is criticized. But tough shit, that stupid nigger caused all sorts of problems.
>>
>>534723046
Very gay and retarded.
Nuclear should be the backbone of the grid. This would allow rooftop/garden/communal solar and wind solutions to hook up straight into your house without the need for oversized and expensive battery banks.
When solar/wind is not producing, the grid’s there, and you’re not wasting energy or resources on storage that’s just going to degrade anyway.

https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2022-07-14/california-rooftop-solar-pv-panels-recycling-danger

>Although 80% of a typical photovoltaic panel is made of recyclable materials, disassembling them and recovering the glass, silver and silicon is extremely difficult.

>Sam Vanderhoof, a solar industry expert and chief executive of Recycle PV Solar, says that only 1 in 10 panels are actually recycled, according to estimates drawn from International Renewable Energy Agency data on decommissioned panels and from industry leaders.
>>
>>534724310
>But Australians that fell for that meme?
Very few people fell for it, other than demented boomers. The conservatives here tried to run it as their policy at the last election and had their worst result in 80 years.

The conservative party here is owned by the mining industry, who wanted nuclear reactors built so the country would be dependent on their uranium. Nuclear makes perfect sense in cold climates, very little sense in warm climates.

Even then, the west cannot efficient build nuclear power plants any longer. So I'm skeptical new nuclear makes sense nowadays. Britain tried building a new reactor in 2016 and it's still not finished and has costed 46bn pounds so far. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hinkley_Point_C_nuclear_power_station

The vast majority of panels are not being recycled at the moment because they have a 25-30yr lifespan, and almost no panels have hit that limit yet.

nuclear is better, and you dont waste land.

Green takes land, and removes plantlife, which is the real irony here.

Not that I back the Greens, though.

The point of the Greens party is to back shutting down brainy Far Right ideas.
>>
>>534723046
I'm not necessarily. I study it a lot to realize that in most use cases fossil fuels wins. You likely will never make your money back from solar and that's one of the best renewable energy forms that isn't niche Amish tech.

Yucca was a terrible place for a repository. Seismically and recently volcanically active. It's good that it was cancelled. The fundamental issue is that there is no solution to nuclear waste other than watching it like a hawk for centuries.
>>
>>534724609
Fossil fuels beats renewable energy most of the time. The only thing better for the environment is nuclear. Solar and its batteries go bad before you even make your money back. Wind sucks, and when it works it is horrific to the bird populations. Hydro works well, but it niche and location specific.

wind and solar only work if you have batteries.
I need power when I need it, not when the wind blows or sun is shining.
batteries are not good for the environment either, the wind chops up birdos, and solar requires silicon mining which is also bad for the environment.

French are fags and afraid of everything worse than Canadians, but even they figured out nuclear somehow. How fucking hard can it be?

The Finnish have already proven that wrong.
More importantly we could find another suitable location.
>>
>>534724720
All I'm saying is that if these wind and solar solutions are going to exist, they should be decentralised and exist in tandem with a nuclear grid so that we can 1) have a genuinely greater degree of energy independence, and 2) bypass the insane battery storage fuckery that these stupid greenkikes are trying to push everywhere as a part of their retarded effort to make solar and wind the backbone of the fucking grid itself.

A complete non-issue if you reprocess fuel.

Hydro is obviously the supreme form of power, not every country has the geography for it though. New Zealand is 60% hydro powered, Norway is 98% hydro powered. China produces 400GW of hydro from the massive Three Gorges dam

Australia could utilize and strategically place the best form of hydro - closed-loop pumped storage hydro (using a Francis turbine) built exclusively above floodplains - and power the entire country for 6 months a year on hydro alone. Meaning they could turn off coal power plants and other generation for 6 months of every year. And with regime change, Australia could reduce the population back to a sustainable 15 million, in which case less energy would be required and all those bullshit "sustainable development" targets would be met overnight.

Asia is bringing online Nuclear Power plants while the west has forgotten how to build them.
It's just another cog that shows why the west will fail in the long run, along side its welfare state and education system.

It's not everywhere but there are some really bad spots. Probably the worst are Hanford site in Oregon, (where Manhattan project waste is stored). The Santa Susana Field Laboratory in the LA basin where the first liquid sodium reactor was being tested in a building with no containment structure. It suffered a partial meltdown and released something like 450 times the radiation of 3 mile island.
