The trouble with massive gerrymandering is what if you accidentally dummymandered? Like your demographic software drew some lines wrong or there was insufficient data. Or if your party happens to be -20% down the ticket, so instead of just losing a few districts, you lose a lot more because you had to dilute your districts by taking bits of cities. Now you don't just lose the congress and have to deal with trump being performatively impeached every two weeks, you start losing statehouses too. Sucks to suck I guess.
