They would need to replace entire warehouses with new hardware and then run that hardware at a total loss. This is at a time where A.I. datacenters are already having limited amount of space to deploy, and chip fabricators are booked out far into the future. If the government attacks bitcoin (especially now that it's so popular) it becomes a catch-22 The foundational principals of America and free markets would be proven to be a lie. Their best shot at stopping bitcoin was like 15 years ago. Now they would need to flame throw billions and billions of dollars and break laws to stop it. And I'm not saying U.S. government doesn't break laws and waste billions of dollars, but they usually do their dirty work overseas. This would be attacking the heart of America as its on the cusp of a major recession/depression.They would be asking for some serious backlash playing with bitcoin mining.They're better off continuing their social attacks and corporate takeover while making the OGs rich and lazy.

They participate in grid stabilization, provide jobs, and make electricity cheaper. Break that up and you're not just hurting bitcoin.
