You are? Who are? We are the alien species. We don't belong here at all. Why we buid so fervently fake environments. It isn't necessary. But we do it. We use trees rocks and metal because that's what we have on hand but it's so fake. You can scrape anywhere on earth not very far down at all and it's just dirt and rocks. Like a movie set. There are so few actual humans on the planet left, some uncontacted tribes, first nations folk, far flung tribes that are close to the earth people. The rest are not anywhere close to human mammals at all. Can't drink water from the land, have to have all sorts of food safety, say things like I could never live outside the city. Then there's the most interesting type, insatiable appetite for drugs, have zero concept of shelter so they lay on the sidewalk or camp in a tent on the street. The govt was hoping they could kill it off with stronger drugs but even horse tranq these things can tolerate, pretty amazing but useless. Through the wombs these things keep coming. The only reason anything with human DNA is here for is to seed technology on this outpost. We did. We are obsolete. The only ones that will eventually remain are the close to the earth ones. Technology has zero use for any of them but those humans get a pass. For a while anyway. You will find out soon enough just how useless you have become here and there's only one way to leave.
