In the modern day, most teachers go straight into the profession right out of college. They only ever know the classroom environment. Their entire lives revolve around this structure so perhaps it's no surprise when the classroom starts to look like a dating pool - especially when they're overworked, emotional and needing to find 'something' to keep them feeling alive. It's not hard to imagine they see a popular, handsome pupil much in the same way they would have seen him when they were back at school - because they've never mentally left.

Overhaul the post-secondary education complex. In most countries you can't start a bachelor of education until you do a bachelor of arts or science. This result in people taking education as a "second chance at life" cause most of those degrees are unemployable. Education should be a self contained 3 year diploma that only those interested in being a teacher should pursue.
