The Finnish and Swedish Federal Governments actually decided to be fucking problem solvers and invested billions into building housing units that were leased out to people, collecting the revenue back that could be used to pay down the debt incurred in the capital expenditure.This is somehow a problem to Chuds who don't think government can be a problem solver. We can use abandoned military bases. They can be set up like a low security jail and staffed by the local sheriff's department. Communities already have laws against vagrancy, public nuisance, intoxicated in public. Judges simply send vagrants to this low security jail. The inmates would have shelter, running water, electricity, cafeteria. They could be provided with medical, dental and mental health care for less than what current democrat cities are pissing away on their programs. The fact that this solution will cost less than the current feel good projects so commonly implemented is precisely why it will not be done. Crooked politicians enrich themselves on soft social projects with no accounting, no measurable performance metrics or accountability.
