How is a "tax investigative" mercenary supposed to catch a tax evader that never declared an income? Same as how is a murder investigative mercenary supposed to find a murderer that has no relation with the murdered?

You basically just accuse people you don't like at random until you get lucky.

>tax investigative mercenary
wat?
>>
your phone will just hear you talking about it and tell on you

stupid idiot

GOD YOU ARE DUMB

that sounds like a good way to clog the limited resources of the mercenaries even more
>Accuse 100K random people of tax fraud/murder
>10M man hour wasted to find out that nin of them evaded taxes or murdered somebody

A boomer would call it a "bureaucrat" I call them mercenaries, because that is all they are, mercenaries for little old geezer polity tyrants, that should hang on the same tree as their masters

nigger its the fucking government. the vast majority of government employees are fucking lazy and do the bare minimum, if that. generally speaking, they don't care. unless someone actually picks up the phone. that might be someone who actually noticed someone went from dirt poor to living a luxurious lifestyle and doesn't seem to have any legit income at all. or the bank or brokerage firm notices a lot of suspicious cash outs. but even then it's not entirely automated. exchanges like coinbase for example just have agreements with tax authorities in certain regions. let's say you just cashed out 100k, after doing a bunch of trades. even if your bank doesn't call you about it, coinbase might (depending on their relationship with your local tax authority) automatically report this. which is totally fine if you actually declared it on your annual taxes. but if you didn't and you did this for years, then yeah they might come after you.

but the cost to do something like do an audit and tax you to court isn't free. generally speaking, they 're not going to care if you did something like not declare your degen crypto or GME gains of a few hundred bucks. especially when you consider the average retard who might be bragging to you that he didn't declare it, might have lost money on other things, so he actually could have a loss for the year, and not actually owe the government anything.

you have a bank account?

do you have your assets and liabilities listed in that account?

there you go!

We get to keep a percentage of all undeclared money that a person withholds to the irs. I think its 10% maybe more. I had to threaten a bar that was withholding pay from me with that. Funny how its not the same with narcotics.

They only way to receive income and tax evade is from crime. So you have lots of options of catching them. A murderer usually leaves evidence behind. Or is caught by one of the many many cameras all over the place.
>>
Basically if you're working for a cash business that doesn't declare the income then you have a case and are entitled to 10% of all the undeclared incone.

Show that the alleged perpetrator lives beyond his means. Calculate what his means actually were - worth at least an audit plus penalties.
>>
All cash businesses skim
Take notes document what you find.

>Suddenly lives a luxurious life
Yeah, only rule to not be caught, don't be a nigger flashing bling
>Coinbase / bank reports you
Lol, no. I thought I had to smurf and for years only cashed out 2k here and there, then I once wrote too many 0s in the field and cashed out 200k straight from a crypto exchange to my bank account. I didn't declare it, neither the crypto exchange nor the bank informed anybody. Of course I did not declared it either.
