There were extremely few Catholics in New England at the time, but there was substantial presence of Unitarians, Quakers, Calvinists and Jews, maybe other religions, and lots of not particularly religious people. But definitely not Catholics.

for anyone wondering, new hampshire is not majority white. they arent counting illegals here. its literally like 50% hispanic. when i go outside i generally hear 50% spanishmaine being 80% white is only by virtue of it being a retirement community for whites from other states. under 30 is something like 30% nonwhite. the portland public school system is literally over 40% africans learning englishin other words...its FUCKING oiver
