Govt spending outpacing GDP to such a ridiculous degree is the source of inflation, and combined with high taxes makes life insanely difficult for people who actually work and try to contribute.Basically I agree with you OP but there is an aspect where if taxes are just jacked up on the wealthy and the 'benefit' of building businesses is deleted because government spending is totally slashed, we will have stagnation and people with the means to produce will move to countries where they have incentive to do so.
