I was watching that David Ramsey clickbait video where some girl phoned in complaining about her boyfriend not paying her $90,000 student loans, and the old boomer had his father instincts all triggered and called her "princess" and started waffling on about how he'd provide more for her.I ask because there's been a few medium sized businesses in my town where there's been a bloat of women in office managerial roles that aren't really doing anything. They're maybe doing two hours of work a day and spend the rest of the time consuming coffees and gossiping. They're paid 1.5-3x as much as the people out in the field actually working, including the qualified ones. Some businesses vary in how skewered it is, but literally every family business over a certain size eventually has aunts, nieces, wives of the sons, etc given jobs well above their station for a wage they don't deserve, for decades at a time. The patronization gets worse as the business ages and the leadership turns geriatric, it's gotten to the point where I've seen women pushing 45 literally behaving like helpless children to get resources out of men in their 70s.It doesn't even seem to be an entirely sexual thing, because in many of these instances the boomers aren't getting sex out of it. But I do think there's like a remarriage instinct for older wealthy men, where in their 60s they do use their wealth to patronize younger women and have mistresses.
