I remember flying Almaty -> NYC once with a layover in Moscow. I was a little kid back then and remember getting yelled at by an airport worker. I avoid Russia, everything Soviet and Slav at every fucking turn. Only Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines or KLM for me. Turkey is not far behind when it comes to pissedness of the airport staff, though, but their attitude still feels like a farcry from what happens in Moscow.
