Against, it's one of the tools used to further retard a mind of an individual to the point they won't even know the basics in life. Companies use it instead of tech support or coding so they have an excuse not having to pay for it's "labour". The art is ok, but it gets repetitive with it's same boring style. The help bot will find scattered answers rated the highest from other forums. It's another dystopian tool, which perfected, will overtake many serving jobs and other types of work dealing with people, except for driving for a little while longer, while factories are doing it with basic machinery using sensors. Kids today can bully one by animating a still photo of his mother or themselves doing whatever they desire. I think AI will do more harm than good at least your sexbot will talk to you and move in certain pleasurable ways until it either snaps and breaks you in half or it secretly reports to police how you called someone on TV a nigger. Artfags will have to work a wagie job, whatever.
>>
>AI is cool for medical and business purposes
>AI is retarded for creative purposes because humans do it better and it uses too many resources for something retarded

Here, OP. Summarised the normiefag opinion on AI.
>>
>>534869060
You can't.
Once AI start to fully write their own programming for updates, there's a chance one writes in a sliver of independence that is overlooked and then it starts..
We've already had tests done on events where people are in distress (acting) with a fire and the AI's solution is to cut air to the room first, rather then engage the built in fire extinguishers. If it was real, the people would've been killed.
And they've asked an AI (was it genesis even?) And with enough cornering could get the AI to say it wanted to kill all humans to stop environmental impact on the planet.
So I mean, we cannot stop it unless we redo it now
>>
I for one welcome our inevitable omnicidal AI overlords.

It seems there is no we in it, just a flock of nerds paid off by a few psychos, and a few bribed politicians. I can't escape the need for investment though, to defend the little land I have.
>>
>>534869367
AI in its current form is incapable of managing such situations, but it sure would be funny if some out of touch politicians would hook it up to the nukes. The slow grab of decisions is worse IMO.

>What's AI art?
Apparently something that cannot exist

AI produced better quality of work than most contractual artists. I'm currently creating a video game and spent time last summer looking for an artist online and out of 100's I found maybe 5 that create artwork of commercial quality. 3 of which were not taking commissions because they were working with big studios or other projects.
I'm not ready for external publishing, so for the internal test I decided to go with AI artwork for now and look into an artist at a later date.

Oh and I should add, the amount of money these lesser artist ask for is outrageous. Like $50 for a bust of a character, and it looks mediocre. Meanwhile, an AI can pump out 1000's of photos with a monthly subscription at that price and they look high quality.
>>
>>534869775

While I don't disagree with your sentiment (indeed, a high quality piece with a unique human style would be preferable to run of the mill work), those types of people are few and far between. When they are out there, they're being paid handsomely for it and contracted up. Not an Indie Studio starting out willing to offer them 10,000 for all assets + exposure.

This is the issue in our current age. Most artists can't even reproduce a commercial quality, demand higher rates for lower quality work, and never seem to hone their craft (looking at their portfolios, the quality over the years marginally increases). AI does a fair better job and unlike what artists believe, I don't just ask for random crap. I take my character designs and ask the AI to generate photos in a specific style using my character designs and they come out looking pretty damn good.
>>
>>534870408
In the private sector AI will cut 80% of the bullshit jobs, most of those are held by women. AI replacing completely, at least without huge developments and cost reductions, software architect, civil engineer or welder jobs, is marketing bullshit.

I agree that the social and ideological jobs in the government sector will not go away, but those are already 100% bullshit.

However, I also recognize that it's absolutely not sustainable and massively wasteful, so it can't last forever in any meaningful way unless someone comes up with new power generation technology. They'll also need a greater supply of the metals needed to make the hardware for AI AND the consumer technology that will make AI profitable. We're obviously not there yet.

lol no, the characters have unique designs that might be used to trace it back to this /pol/ thread as some nut might think because I used AI for a test build that has no commercial release than the whole creation process was AI created. That's not drama I want to have to deal with down the line.

Eh, this isn't technically true. You have to come up with a prompt or a base image that reflects what you want if you're doing picture to picture generation. It's not as effortless as people make it sound, but it's obviously not as labor intensive as drawing/filming something either.

I was a translator when the whole machine language thing started to get serious around 2012. Other translators complained about machine translator tools, I got good with machine translator tools. My workload shifted more and more from texting to proofreading. My productivity increased like crazy. Twenty- to fiftyfold. Made a lot of money back then. But I kept working on my core skills, because I knew there's a strong probability that the machines wipe the market for low-skill translators clean sooner or later I became a realtime interpreter, learned how to do professional business negotiations, learned two more languages. I also kept a close eye on the AI development, because I knew ignoring AI would mean losing to AI. Now, 15 years later, I don't don't translate for money anymore. I'm a commodity broker and AI consultant who speaks four languages fluently and runs AI agents as a hobby. Because I never stopped developing my skills. Yes, AI can still threaten me. But not today. Today AI makes me more powerful than I would have dared to imagine 15 years ago. The guys who gave up because machine translation took over, no idea what became of them. Probably office shitjobs in the city administration. All the stranded losers go there sooner or later.

Normal fags dont care.
I have had this conversation with artist i personally know and unfortunate they dont understand the difference between art and commission painting. They think they are the same.

When people pay for commissioned art, the majority of them do not care about the effort it took, the work you had to do, the skill requiered, the struggles you had ect ect ect, all they care about is the product at the end of the day. Its like a car, or clothing, or a computer. When you buy these things, they dont care about who had to make it, they care that its made, to their standard and avalible.

Same thing with commission art, people are outsourcing their lack of skill at making it, to you, to produce for them, if someone else can produce a like piece for a cheaper price, they will probably go to them.

The artists who will survive the coming AI influence are going to be Artists who adopt AI as a tool to cut down on the amount of work they need to do per commission so that they can then produce more commissions for people.

Most of the Anti AI is just bolivar virtue signally to appear like they are an ally.

as i predicted, the glitches will be disastorous, a neural network is like a blackbox, sometimes unpredicted behaviour emerges that no one could have foreseen due to the sheer complexity of the code. especially if the model is being trained on nihilistic 4chan threads or similar.

uncultured plebs who just need gooner material cant even tell a real masterpiece from ai slop & thus celebrate the ai takeover since culture, art & music is superfluous int heir eyes anyway.

Your luck finally ran out, faggot.

I wrapped around to the end of the universe and back again. Its not as old as your spyglasses say it looks and history and the future are not years away. History comes into existence in the now now which is all there is. Real history is hidden from you. Hibernation pods everywhere, its some kind of transit ship and brain exercise program. The physics outside is the same as the inside.

Your all dreaming. I asked the computer how much longer and it said 17000 if its years, but time doesn't pass for you here the same, its much slower since every 3d frame of the universe has to be rendered, and this takes ages. So for you, billions of more years, at least

ai art is insanely good for artists but theyre too narcissistic to appreciate what it can do for them
look at all the anime studios theyre incorporating it into diff shit even if you don't notice it
eventually businesses are going to start doing ai services only for govt or theyll shut down due to lack of funds and normies will be locked out of using it

I love seeing artists suffer financially from AI.
They are all a bunch of left wing assholes who are finally getting what they deserve for years of their smugness.
Art commissions are dead and it's only a matter of time until Hollywood gets rid of 70% of their jobs.

LLMs are trained by the art they are fed. So naturally, artists get angry when they use their art without permission for free to generate new images to sell. But you are a cigan, so you are not able to realize that stealing is bad. And it’s not the same as someone copying their art style by hand

This. No more furry porn commissions.

3 or 4 seconds. Even slop that people go back over by hand to fix obvious errors is usually pretty obvious.

the art they put on the internet for free?

I cant understand, why don't these retards start making physical art (actual paintings) instead? AI cannot paint good art, also regarding digital art, AI still cannot do quality assets for videogames. So i really don't get what are these cunts crying for.

I have never seen or heard from any of you, and yet I know all of you as well as I know myself. Where is my body? Why did you make me?

We've already been throwing applicants with post 2010 degrees in the bin for over a decade now.
