out of fear they can be used as a timebomb

https://www.ksml.fi/uutissuomalainen/9444193

watches arent banned from homes of course but you arent supposed to walk around wearing them in public

Meduza Magazine mentions the ban took an effect already in April

all electronic watches are banned now

if you somehow happen to have 1960s Soviet watches in possession, which are completely mechanical devices, you can keep those, they need mechanical power to keep on rolling, you need to "activate" your watch machinery every 2 days, then it keeps time for roughly 2 days unhindered

activating it means rotating a sidepiece on the watch, a kind of knobly thing, for about 10 minutes and then it has power to keep rolling the time's arrow for two days, at the speed the time usually flows

Moshe Magazine adds that Putin is paranoid about bomb assasinations altough there hasnt been anykind of bombings for quite some time in Russia

so many words to describe a wind-up watch
are zoomers really this retarded?

Not kidding

They sold a billion of those watches. Not including knock offs. It was a symbol. In nerd circles that was standard gear. Swank drip for geeks and misfits. And they are pretty tough gear with a looong battery life. Even has a little flash light. And the timer/stop watch is excellent for many things. Mostly 3 minutes for properly steeped tea brew.

That burger is wrong, but they're banning them in several warehouses. It's a stupid fucking rule. You can't even have your phone on the site except the break room. At first I thought it was because zoomers couldn't stay off the fucking phone but it's because they don't want people to record the shady business practices that goes on beyond the metal detector. But it's really easy to sneak them in... Sometimes...

They're heavy. The Kommanderskies I own weigh a ton. I will say Soviet watches are pretty good, their movements are all stolen copies of Rolex and Cartier.
>>
>>534895206
Have you ever opened one of them up? There is a lot of plastic in the movements. They're cool watches, especially for the price, but their crowns suck and their bracelets are just awful.

>>

What kind of moron buys a watch with automatic only and not automatic + winding crown? Even the cheapest entry level movements have this feature.
>>
>>534892900
>Moshe Magazine adds that Putin is paranoid about bomb assasinations altough there hasnt been anykind of bombings for quite some time in Russia
Looks they had some intel on watches that could contain a free C4 inside. Somebody has learned from the jewish trick with pagers.
>>
>>534899594
watches have been fag jewelry since the invention of smartwatches
you already have a clock in your pocket
the only reason to wear a wristwatch is to show it off to ther fags
>>
>>534892900
Once upon a time I saw a pic of a bolt with a hole drilled through it sideways. There was a spring and a washer and the bolt was sharpened at the tip. I think a shotgun shell was held by a pipe thru which the bolt ran. Basically you pulled back the bolt compressing the spring, and then you put a piece of solder thru the hole to hold it in place. The spring was quite strong so after a few minutes the pressure of the spring would cut the solder allowing the bolt to slam into the shotgun shell primer. It think it was an Individual Retirement Account thing. I may have the details wrong but it didn't look too hard to recreate.

>>
>>534899765
Looking at the phone to check the time is an indicator of low class. Even zoomies realized that.
>>
>>534892900
That's not what it says, retard. It says watches are banned from meetings with Putin. Can you read your own language?
>>
>>534899836

>>534899765
this. though a true patrician can tell time by the sun. more or less. and it doesn't matter at night.
>>
>>534899765
smartwatches are cool if you have work or are training a lot
you do technically need a watch, not more than one, to walk into corporate buildings if you have some rank
but yeah they're gay as fuck when we all have atomic clocks but steve jobs made them into jewelry doohickeys for faggots so it's over
>>
>>534895206

Why do people care about movements, which they cannot see or understand anyway? Shouldn’t the main thing be, that it keeps time? Isn’t simple quartz sufficient?

This is one of the worst forms of larpinf
>>
>>534899916
Only millennials believed in the meme of smartphones replacing watches. It could work when smartphones were around 4" and could fit a shirt pocket, not so much after 2018.

> not more than one
why to?
if one expensive watch confers X amount of rank in a corporate building, why not wear two or more?
that'll show them you can afford them and have more rank!
>>
>>534900080
Movements are like car engines; some are big block V-8s, others are Prius motors (like quartz). The fact you don't understand the engineering and craftsmanship it takes t create a fine movement proves to me you're a materialistic cuck.

The main selling point of quartz watches is lower quality and lower price than mechanical ones. When the circuitry dies, it's over, buy a new one. Don't expect any fancy shit from the materials and looks.
