One data center guzzled up 30 million gallons of water and also doesn't pay for any of that water usage either. ONE data center did this. Keep in mind they are putting these things all over the country. They are quite literally sucking the land dry of fresh drinking water. How is this allowed?

Everyone who designed and signed off on the permit for these data centers need to be sued to bankruptcy. There's no reason aside from cost as to why these data centers can't run on a closed loop cooling system.

it does run on a closed loop cooling system the 30 million gallons got sucked up in the construction process which is taking years

What's even worse is there's no reason they should be using water at all. There should be a complete coolant loop.

datacenters are worthless to the local economy. They employ very few fulltime workers, and many of them moved to the location for the job. Microsoft specifically deploys Washington-based staff to the new datacenters. The sites have very few workers per shift and they devour local energy resources

There's tons of wasteland with too much water that's cold and shitty where these should be built here. Literally no one around, I don't mean rural I mean fucking no one.

Because your faggy gimmick AI is shit at answering questions, and so are you.
How is this water being "consumed"? It heats up, it evaporates, it is still water. There is the same amount of water at the beginning of the process as there is at the end, it just temporarily changes its state of matter from a liquid to a gas. Explain to me how this means 5/8ths of fuck all? If I take 1 cup of water and move it from one cup to another I still have 1 cup of water, even if I heat it up in between. Fuck, I can heat it up and cool it down 6 million times and it will still be a cup of water. I could probably even power a turbine with it if I heat it up enough right?

a closed system, with some active fans blowing, no compressor cooling, is a compromise between efficiency and cost

in general, a european solution might be (since we like to regulatore everything)

an amnesty period of some years for mandation might be sensible

because the water inside of a nuclear reactor is kept at near boiling temperatures at all times. most reactor designs DO use a ton of water. the closed loop gets recirculated through the reactor in a BWR/PWR, but the open loop which is clean due to the heat exchangers does not all get recirculated, if at all. data centers must work at much cooler temperatures, and sometimes that means exchanging water with a heat sink like a pond or lake as many power plants do

Kill yourself you fucking faggot. This continent is mottled with dry lakebeds, such as Lake Owens. Many places like the deserts of Utah receive almost all of their water via rivers. We’re gonna keep using more and more of their water, the end result being places along these rivers begins to dry. >The issue began last year when residents in the affluent subdivision of Annelise Park in Fayetteville noticed their water pressure was unusually low, Politico reports.
>They were even then told to scale back their own water usage.
>When the county utility then investigated the problem, officials discovered that developer Quality Technology Services (QTS) had installed two industrial-scale water hookups to the approximately 6.2 million square foot data center campus - located about 20 miles south of downtown Atlanta.
>One of the water connections appeared to have been installed without anyone at the water utility knowing, while the other was not linked to the company's account - and it therefore was not being billed.
>By May 15, 2025, the Fayette County Water System sent a letter to QTS, saying it owed nearly $150,000 for using more than 29 million gallons of water - the equivalent of 44 Olympic-size swimming pools, far exceeding the limit agreed to during the planning process.
>QTS, which is owned by private equity firm Blackstone, eventually paid off the $147,474 debt and was not charged any extra fines.

Even if it did it's not going to be this 1:1 sort of ratio of use and return. Deep water aqueducts don't just instantly refill. Even lake and river based water resources require rainy seasons and heavy snow pack.
You can easily over run your yearly supply with large scale consumption. As gov then tells residence to cut shower times, water less etc. Despite residential water use being well under 10% of supply. See this shit in CA all the time now.
As if the 10% is the problem and not 70% going to water guzzling crops like Almonds that are just shipped off to China or alfalfa going to the middle east. It gets carried to wet areas which already have too much rain, increasing flooding

to be crystal clear:
water that evaporates into the atmosphere gets carried to the same wet spots as all the other water in the atmosphere does, while leaving dry spots dry like before
The area you evaporate water from keeps getting the same amount of rain, while the rainy areas get even more rain than before.

no, that is waaay deeper, and for steam turbines
the wikipedia article is so... curious, in that the heat comes from radioactive decay in the earths core... exclusively, apparently

i think it was 10ft or 10m, at which the ground temperature becomes pretty much stable all year around, thats the effect being exploited
in winter, this definitely works directly

geothermal is still very much in its infancy, since it is so new, its still best done at geysirs and shiet, and not simply drill hole into ground and use lava

Maybe it’s industry slang in America but we also refer to heat rejection/absorption in shallow wells (less than 300 ft) as geothermal. >geothermal
>The Earth has an internal heat content of 1031 joules (3·1015 TWh), About 20% of this is residual heat from planetary accretion; the remainder is attributed to past and current radioactive decay of naturally occurring isotopes.[16]
>For example, a 5275 m deep borehole in United Downs Deep Geothermal Power Project in Cornwall, England, found granite with very high thorium content, whose radioactive decay is believed to power the high temperature of the rock
those radioactive elements are byproducts
metal compression creates infrared radiation while attempting to keep structure

by the way

Sounds like a problem for the data center to solve and pay for, and for my local government to hold a gun to their head to make sure it gets solved properly and paid for (by the data center) and not by me. If they can't build a data center that doesn't fuck with my environment and doesn't leave me paying for it, then they can go fuck off. yeah theyre saying 80% of core heat is from radioactive decay of elements

im saying
>gravity creates compression
>compression creates heat and radioactive isotopes
>ultimately from gravity
meaning the radioactive isotopes are part of a transitory process of heat generation in the earth's core, they propagate the energy, they are not a starting reservoir like minerals or ores or coal or oil on the surface, it directly harnests one of the four fundamental forces of nature
>>
>>534940702
data centers produce more heat than nuclear reactors do
>>
>>534941198
Fair enough. Really seems like a problem that could be solved in minutes if we had any functional institutions left.

>>534941215
Air source heat pumps are quickly becoming the norm over here. Ground source isn’t being adopted as quickly. It’s fairly common in commercial systems but the upfront cost is usually prohibitive for residential. Fair point about Yellowstone but yeah it’s too remote. Besides Hawaii I can’t think of any urban areas with nearby volcanic activity.

something like that
even if its once every hundred billion atoms, how many are there in the core, ffs

this also explains the 16 and 26s microseisms
much like centrifugal in a pot with shallow water, the same happens in reverse with a force acting in opposite direction, i.e. mirror-inverted around radial center from the rim

and this is constant rotary angular momentum
that in turn drives the planet's rotation
> 86167 (sidereal) seconds / 26s = ca. 3333.33...
> 26s / 16s = ca. golden ratio
there's something there

I mean pass a law or have the epa update its standards to prevent open loop cooling systems. They won’t because they’re bought and paid for but if we still had functional institutions this wouldn’t be an issue. That includes you fed more-beholdened-to-the-ADL-than-the-American-people-somehow kike-oath swearers too, just for some clarification and maybe some hopefully last minute self-reflection before these kikes go pandemic II into the "we now have all absolute war-time and deadly pandemic (that we released in our neighboring kike-capture chabad lands in Argentina) powers to go full mask-off gulag of all you less-that-human-gentiles and bad goys who's data we've been hoarding for three decades" bugaloo timeline. Y'all should probably quit and not serve the illegitimate system that is purposely now at war with its own citizens, lest one day those citizens fight asymmetrically back on your own doorstep (or more likely, your still-boss just gets the call from his masters and sends you on some assignment where you will purposely be ambushed to tie up a this-old-guard-goy-knew-how-the-surveillance-state-sausage-was-"in-the-know"-made-and-how-it-really-underhandedly-came-about-and-what-it's-true-mind-reading/neuron-manipulating-capabilities-and-weaknesses-are loose end).
Are you all really going to put me on that stand, and let these ideas (and my entire life and how you illegitimate surface world system spook niggers spent literally 3 years of hundreds of thousands of peoples (literally this is apparently a problem of the entire worldwide intelligence, media, and entertainment communities somehow.... ) lives to get to this point) now escape "in the know" containment?

Take a breath, brother. I know it boils up. But remember to breath. It can be hard to make sense of your rant if you don't take a breath and sort it out.

We can't hear you, really hear you, unless you sort out your thoughts.

They should just build them next to the ocean, infinite water glitch.

thanks for the keywords for reading up

basically (i think), in order to properly test whats happening in the core, you'd need to create a CERN for implosion type compression
you know, like its "traditionally" used elsewhere for fissile material, yuo instead replace the supercritical component with a lump of core material and watch results

Oh no anon, this isn't for you or anyone really organically on this board, it's for the piece of surveillance state fed agent shit who are now soul-comp'd to the kikes and world-usurping technocrat jews, and as "evidence" in the sham trial they're going to try to run on me.

I have literally been turned the universes' scapegoat chicken, by literally the entirety of the global intelligence, media and entertainment apparatus (all owned by breakaway luciferians and kikes), to get the entire hidden "national security" side of society all across the world to agree to usher in and beg for mind reading tech to be semi-publicly rolled out to stop all the "dangerous schizo incels and free thinkers, that are like our all-watched and neuron puppeted scapegoat".

Hey joe rogan, hope the price was worth it.
You aren't getting shot at in the streets yet, but these shadow govt kikes don't like loose ends, and I'm not sure that you blabbing to all your guest about one crazy liar schizo's entire NSA collected target packet life history (that includes letting them in on tech and weapon systems that "don't exist"; you know, because those torturous weapon systems are a huge part of why my life is how it is and how I even "met" you), probably doesn't go well on your "he's able to keep secrets for our 'doesn't exist' breakaway system" scorecard.

>Is it treated with chemicals
essentially yes. high heat degrades that water, screws up PH which in turn ruins cooling infrastructure and introduces biological contaminates.
chemicals are added to neutralize this which itself eventually renders the water unusable.
one of the most costly expenses of doing business is consultation for and disposing of toxic waste.
instead of using a million gallons a day they would use 25 thousand gallons a day but then need to pay the constant consultation and toxic disposal fees.

Wrong they use evaporative cooling nigger. Then when they've evaporated most of the water they send the other 10% now contaminated water right down the drain.

What exactly is a data center?
>>
>>534941008
These data centers aren't for processing surveillance data, they're for handling the extreme amount of bandwidth consumed by videos over the internet. AI is nothing compared to video streaming.

its just the modern term for a server farm. Cloud computing enables the concentration of hardware in a central location and the renting of that hardware's capabilites to customers. Their are certain efficiencies to be had by making them bigger.
